LIVING A LIFE OF PURPOSE

(Acts 13 vs 36)- For David served God's purposes in his own time, and then he died, was buried with his ancestors, and his body rotted in the grave.

(Jeremiah 29 vs 11)- I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

» we are not here/born by accident but we are here by devine plans of God
» we are sustained because of God's purpose for our lives
» understanding your purpose will set a standard in your life
» we overcome challenges by understanding our purpose
» life is not about how many years you have lived, not about things acquired, life has more than waking up in the morning and going for work but LIFE is about understanding your PURPOSE. PURPOSE is discovering God's given assignments and accomplishing them.
» PURPOSE will devine your life.
» our PURPOSE on earth should make an impact on other people in a POSITIVE way. Our lives should be a blessing to other people.

(Philippians 3 vs 13-14)- Of course, my friends, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead. 14 So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the life above.

Theme: HAVING A GREAT ATTITUDE

(Romans 14 vs 17)- For God's Kingdom is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of the righteousness, peace, and joy which the Holy Spirit gives. 18 And when you serve Christ in this way, you please God and are approved by others.

» Attitude must be excellent in order to receive a lifting from God.
» People with wrong attitude usually have numerous difficulties.
» Attitude is influenced by what we see and experience.
» What you focus on is what builds up your attitude/character. Always have a positive attitude.

(Philippians 2 vs 5)- In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.

(John 17 vs 1_26) - Let's all reflect on what Christ Jesus went through for our sins. This is indeed a time of looking deeply into our hearts and submitting ourselves to Him.

You may know God but we ought to experience Him. Let God be God. Have experiential knowledge of Jesus Christ. Not only reading about him. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has brought us greater joy. Our success depends on glorifying God. Avoid depending on man who glorifies himself for our God is a jealous God and all the wicked he will destroy
(Exodus 20 vs 4)

What man gives you, man can take away. If you look to man to make it happen for you, you'll be tempted to compromise. You'll be expected to do things God may not have called you to do. Some Christians have sold their soul to man for a quick promotion instead of selling out to God and trusting His timing. Consider Jeremiah 17:5-6...
This is not to say that you can never receive help from a person, but don't look to man to open doors only God should open!!!

BLESSED PALM SUNDAY

JESUS COMING INTO JERUSALEM AS A KING
» “Go to the village there ahead of you; as you go in, you will find a c**t tied up that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If someone asks you why you are untying it, tell him that the Master needs it.” (Luke 19 vs 30)

a) A donkey is used for SERVICE and Jesus came into Jerusalem on it to announce His victory.
- Palm Sunday is a day of getting untied. Jesus entered Jerusalem to untie people. We should allow Him to enter into our situations and untie us from bo***ge.
b) Jesus wants to USE us after we're untied. We need to go back to Him. Only Jesus has the answer to our every situation.
c) Jesus NEEDS it (Donkey/People). The Lord Jesus NEEDS us.
- I planted the seed, Appollos watered it, but God made it grow. (1 Corinthians 3 vs 5)
- Jesus has qualified us. ( Acts 9 vs 15)
- Jesus always honours those He uses (People). (Luke 14 vs 22)

CHILDREN DEDICATION
» Children are arrows ready to be shot in the future.. They are the future leaders. They need to be cared for, and be brought up in the way of the Lord God. ( 1 Samuel 1 vs 27).
