THEME:THE DIFFERENT SEASONS IN ONE'S LIFE
TEXT: GENESIS 41:1-37, EPHESIANS 5:15, ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8
INTRODUCTION
From the book of "beginning",God is showing us the importance of time.
WHY IS TIME IMPORTANT
1.Limited(cannot be recovered,be saved or stored)
2.Enables progress(plan well)
3.Builds connection
Note:You can skip a grade in school, but you can't skip any stage in life.
-What is the difference between a dream and a vision?
-A dream is when the one dreaming is participating on events happening.
-A vision is witness events happening but you are not participating.
-It is vital to seek the meanings of vision and dreams.
Note:Many times we have dreams or visions and they are associated to our source of sustenance (Soldiers, teachers, pastors doctors),hence pharaoh’s dream about standing by river Nile was because it was the life in Egypt.
-In this dream,God is communicating to the king about the seasons to come
TYPES OF SEASONS
1.Foundation period
2.Working period
3.legacy period
4.Resting period
1.FOUNDATION PERIOD
Luke 6:47-49
-This is a season that everyone is been preparing in life.
-In this early stage of life,we have to know God ,discover ourselves and know our purpose.
-what we learn is what will use in our working period.
-This is the period that we can make errors but we are forgiven.
-When a person has been born, just for him to grow there must be plenty.(Pharaoh was told to invest when he had plenty)
THINGS WE CAN INVEST INTO
-RELATIONSHIP(GOD AND MAN)
-EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
-FINANCES
2.WORKING PERIOD
Ephesians 5:15-18
-Everything we do in these period is what we learned.
-The effectiveness of our Christianity is dependant on our foundation.
Note: Check the lives of people who are stable in their Christianity, marriages,work or business(it is because of foundation)
-It is an error to learn in the time of execution.We know that we can receive Christ as our Lord at an time but, it has consequences when we delay, learning how to cook in your matrimonial house.
-The Egyptians/Pharaoh was able to use what he had invested.
3.LEGACY PERIOD
-This is the time that we now show people what to do(give advice or be advisers).
-The truth of the matter will not be here forever.
-For instance today when we hear about kalusha bwalya,what comes in our mind?
-What of kind of legends will have if our parents are the ones who are still playing, who will give advice?
Anytime we hear Elisha, Elijah will be remembered. (Because of legacy)
4.RESTING PERIOD
-In life no one deserve to rest that has not worked in life(Genesis 2:2, 2 Timothy 4:7-8)
CONCLUSION
Why is last week sermom important to us?
-When we know the truth about Jesus:
(I)He directs us to the father
(Ii)Him been the source he will provide some necessities in ourlives
(III)If the of God is upon us then we know our destiny's secured.
