Renowned gospel artist and UCZ Reverend, Rev Mulenga Mulumbwa was on Sunday officially inducted as the new Chairperson of the United Church of Zambia, Sesheke District.

Rev Mulumbwa is in Charge of all UCZ Churches in the entire Sesheke District including Katima Mulilo.

Congratulations Rev for the good work you are doing for God.

We stand with Zambian students ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻

The situation at Evelyn Hone College is that students and their parents have been treated unfairly whereby those who were awarded 100% bursary have been unexpectedly told that it has been reduced to 50%. As if that is not enough, the students and their parents who are already struggling to raise money to feed their families have been told to pay the remaining 50% on their own before 11th September, 2020. This has come at short notice and most parents/guardians will not be able to afford to pay amidst the Covid-19 pandemic because in the first place, the reason people apply for government bursaries is because they cannot afford to be on self-sponsorship. My biggest worry is that this will result in a lot of students dropping out of school. We are appealing to the Ministry of Higher Education to look into this matter before our students end up becoming cheap political cadres.
