ANNOUNCEMENT – GENERAL YOUTH RETREAT

The General Youth at our Parish will be having a Youth Retreat from 1st to 4th September at Poor Clares.

Charges: K250 per person

The retreat is aimed at strengthening the spiritual lives and faith of our young people.
We kindly appeal to all parents and guardians to allow and encourage their children to attend and be part and parcel of the General Youth. We also welcome well-wishers who wish to support the youth in their spiritual journey.
Let us work together to encourage and guide our young people in their faith. 🙏❤️

Good morning to you all.

With deep sorrow, the Cathedral Executive announces the passing of Mr. Robert Mwewa, who died yesterday at about 21:00hrs in Lusaka while receiving treatment at the Heart Hospital.

Mr. Mwewa will be remembered for his dedicated service to the Cathedral, especially his role as Chairperson of the committee that supervised the 2017 Cathedral renovation works.
His contribution to the Parish was honoured by His Grace Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD.

Funeral gathering is at 12 Chintu Avenue, Northrise. Burial details will be communicated in due course.

Our heartfelt condolences go to his family and St. Elizabeth SCC. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him. 🕯️🙏

The Cathedral Community will be having a Run for Unity Fundraising on Saturday, 12th September 2026.

We are all called upon to be part and parcel of this fundraising initiative. All surrounding communities are also warmly invited to join us and support this important cause. 🙏🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

“Let the little children come to me…” Matthew 19:14 🙏

Yesterday, Rev. Fr. Mukuka Katonga shared a beautiful and touching moment with the General Youth as he came to bid them farewell. He blessed the youths, thanked them for their love and support, and asked them to continue praying for him as he begins his pastoral mission in another parish.

The Cathedral Community will surely miss you, Father! We will miss your powerful homilies, your wisdom, and those unforgettable moments when you would say, “Message sent!” and the parishioners would respond, “Message delivered!” 🙏❤️
