RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL
THE RESURRECTION IS THE KEY

Thursday, January 4th .
Pastor Chris

But what saith it?...That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:8-9).

Christianity begins with the resurrection of Jesus Christ, not the death. This doesn’t mean the death of Jesus Christ is not important, for there would be no resurrection if there were no death. If you believe in the resurrection, you definitely believe in the death, but the key is in believing in the resurrection. That’s what gave us a new life.

In Acts 13:33, the Bible says, _*“God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.”*_ This isn’t referring to His birth in Bethlehem but the rebirth at the resurrection.

Jesus was the first begotten of the dead, which means the first to be born out of spiritual death. On the cross, He died two deaths. He died spiritually first when our sins were laid on Him and He was cut off, separated from the Father. He cried out on the cross “My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me” (Mark 15:34). When that happened, it became possible for Jesus to die physically.

When He died, He went to hell in the spirit, because that’s where we all should have gone; He went to hell in our place. But He was a righteous man, bearing the sins of others. The Bible shows us how in hell, Satan and all the demons of darkness grappled with Jesus in order to subdue Him. But He threw off from Himself principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them (Colossians 2:15).

Jesus publicly defeated Satan and the demons of darkness and came out of death and hell in victory. When He arose, the Bible says He was justified; the resurrection was the sign. That rebirth at the resurrection meant that there was no sin, there was no condemnation, the debt of sin was paid by His death, but His resurrection of a new life brought us justification (Romans 4:25).

That’s why today, anyone who believes that Jesus died for their sins and was raised back to life for their justification comes into a newness of life and becomes a new creature: _*“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”*_ (Romans 6:4).

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, thank you for the glorious resurrection of Christ that brought us the justification of eternal life. I acknowledge the glorious victory He achieved over Satan and the forces of darkness, triumphing over death and hell in my behalf. Now I’m raised together with Him in the place of victory, authority and dominion forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* ** *Galatians 2:20* I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. **

** *Romans 4:23-25* Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. *

TITLED: ✨WORDS ARE SEEDS✨

_*Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7).*_

While explaining the parable of the sower, the Lord Jesus emphasized in the eleventh verse that the seed the sower sowed was the Word of God. He lets us know that words are seeds and that what you sow is what you reap.

If you sow the right words into your life and future, they’ll produce the right harvest. Always steer your life in God’s direction for you with the right words. You can’t keep speaking negatively and expect to have an excellent life.

Proverbs 15:4 says, _*“A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.”*_ Here, see how Solomon connects words with seed, tree and fruits. A wholesome tongue is one that speaks life, health, healing, righteousness and abundance. That wholesome tongue is a tree of life.

Many unknowingly bruise their spirits by speaking words that are inconsistent with the provisions of the Gospel. This is why you must train yourself to talk right. Speak blessed words. Your life goes in the direction of your words.

Colossians 4:6 says, _*“Let your speech (your words) be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”*_ In other words, don’t speak idle, inoperative and uninspiring words, for you’d give account of your words: _*“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment”*_ (Matthew 12:36).

Your life today is the harvest of all the words you’ve been speaking. Therefore, always speak righteousness, peace, health, wealth and joy.

🔊 CONFESSION

My life is excellent. I’m the expression of God’s glory, grace, wisdom and righteousness! I’m a testimony of His love, the proof of His goodness. I walk in victory always to the glory of His Name. Blessed be God!*_

📚 FURTHER STUDY:

Proverbs 18:21;* Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

James 3:2;
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

1 Peter 3:10
For He that will love life, And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips that they speak no guile:

TITLED:✨ALIVE TO SPIRITUAL REALITIES✨

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord_ *(Romans 6:11)

What we just read is absolutely life-transforming: we’re alive to God, alive to spiritual realities of the Kingdom. The Apostle Paul made a similar statement in Ephesians 2:1; it says, *“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.”*

To be quickened is to be made alive. When Jesus died, you died in Him. When God raised Him from the dead, you were raised together with Him. You were awakened in God; you came alive in the spirit. This is the reason you can understand the realities of God’s Kingdom.

The one who isn’t born again isn’t alive to God; he’s dead spiritually and gropes in the darkness. 1 Corinthians 2:14 says, *“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”* In Luke 8:10, the Lord Jesus said it is given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God.

Every so often, declare that you’re filled with the knowledge of God’s will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Affirm that you have an understanding heart. This is part of your heritage in Christ.

The Lord Jesus said in John 8:12, *“…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”* 1 Corinthians 2:12 says, *"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."* You have insight into the mysteries and realities of the Kingdom, into your inheritance, rights, benefits, privileges and blessings in Christ. Hallelujah!

🔊 PRAYER

I thank you, blessed Father, for granting me insight into the mysteries and secrets of the Kingdom. I’m filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I know the hope of your calling and the riches of the glory of your inheritance for me in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

📚 FURTHER STUDY:

1 Corinthians 2:7-12
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: *8* Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. *9* But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. *10* But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. *11* For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. *12* Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Matthew 13:10-11
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? *11* He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

✨ LIVING IN THE VICTORY OF CHRIST✨

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:35-37).

Life may be filled with adversities, but the Word says you’re more than a conqueror through Christ. This should give you comfort, peace and joy. You’re living in the victory of Christ. He assured us of victory over crises and challenges when He said, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulations: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

The Bible says in 1 John 4:4, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." You’ve been lifted over and above the corrupting influences of this world.

Our opening scripture states clearly that neither tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril nor sword could separate you from the love of God. Then it concludes by saying you’re more than a conqueror. Being more than a conqueror means you conquered in Christ before the foundation of the earth. Hallelujah! There’s nothing to struggle with or try to overcome anymore. When He arose from the grave a victor and a champion, you were in Him.

Don't allow the circumstances of life make you a victim. You were born into the victorious life in Christ: “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14).

PRAYER

Now thanks be unto God who always causes me to triumph in Christ and make manifest the savour of His knowledge in every place! Thank you Father, for my victorious life in Christ! I live in triumph over circumstances, in total fulfillment, joy, glory and dominion, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
James 1:2-3
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
