*THANKSGIVING*
The Bible admonishes us to always give thanks. Thanks giving is an important part and does more in the spiritual realm.
*Why we ought to give thanks?*
1 *Thanksgiving makes room for more opportunities to say thank you* .
Just like us people, when we do something for somebody, we never really expect anything in return but when they show great appreciation we get compelled to do more for them. It is the same with our Lord, when we say thank you to him, he adds on to what he has done.
2 *The other thing is that we can only enter into his gates with Thanksgiving- Psalm 100:4* .
Giving thanks unto God transcends us into the spiritual realm, it helps us see and have fellowship with God.
3 *1 Chronicles 16:34 also admonishes us to give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
God is good, when we give thanks we get to experience the Lord's goodness. The good of the land becomes our portion.
4 *Thanks giving perfects our blessings*
Jesus gave thanks for the 5 loaves and 2 fishes, what happened? The loaves and fishes were multiplied.
Remember that one l***r who returned to give thanks? His healing was perfected and he was made whole.
Daniel gave thanks, he was lifted and exalted!
5 *Giving thanks continually is God's will for us- 1 Thessalonians 5:18*
God expects us to say thank you.
6 *And lastly, we ought to thank God in everything we do and say, speak every word in gratitude, and do everything with a thankful heart:
Colossians 3:17 says that whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
Always give thanks, in all circumstances, good or bad, happy or sad- it is God's will, it is God's expectation, it blesses God, it pleases God, it moves God!
Happy Independence Day🫶
