*Among many things changed, maintained and highlighted.*
During the *SID YOUTH CONVENTION*
📌If you are doing the MG program and 3 years passes without finishing then you have to repeat.
📌the MG 6 requirements are reduced to 4 sections.
📌Master Guide is not a ministry and therefore during induction it should not stand on its on.
📌 Church Heritage is not a must requirements to being a master, there are other routes one can choose. However union conferences can decide on how they want the requirements to be.
📌Unions are encouraged to come up with their own Church Heritage book as a supplement to the world church Heritage manual.
📌Silver and gold awards are not to be placed on the MG uniforms. (Refer to SID uniform booklet)
📌PLA and APLA have been done away with. Replaced with other leadership trainings.
📌Regardless of the qualifications of the Pastors, SYL and MGs are lower than Pastors. Pastors are our spiritual leaders and should be given respect.
📌In many of the Theological Seminaries, Pastors undergo MG Training either as part of the church programs or as part of the classes offered there, However not all Pastors are MGs, in this regard those who are not should undergo the process and those who are not should produce certificates or transcripts.
📌If you were invested and dropped out of the Church register, you have to go through the program again, however the local conference leaders will decide on which parts you're to repeat.
📌You're getting married and you decide to wear your Church Uniform, it is not allowed. The only time uniform should be worn is when the Church decides to give you a guard of honor and asks its club members to be in uniform, this is because it is the church's decision as Opposed to you deciding to put it on when not on church duty but person program.
📌We are to refrain from militarising the Youth Department through our uniforms and Activities. It is not a military group but a Christian group.
*NOTE: All the churches that have started their Church programs should continue with the same old manuals but those intending to start should start with the new changes that have been introduced.*
The new manuals and other documents needed will be made available and we should Inquire from our local conference leaders.
