BIBLE READING:Acts 4-6
TOPIC: YOUR CASE IS DIFFERENT 3
TEXT: “And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel."
Exodus 11:6-7
God's people enjoy God's preference; God separated them for Himself and as such loves them especially, thereby making them not to experience the evils that are prevalent in the world.
Even in Egypt which was not their land, God still distinguished His people, the Israelites from the Egyptians.
He made Goshen, where they settled a no-go- area for evil.
As expressed in our anchor text, there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, yet for the children of Israel, there was an exemption from that common experience because their case was different.
Scripture so emphasized their difference that in the midst of massive death among the Egyptians, not even a dog is permitted to move its tongue against man or beast of the Israelites.
What an amazing difference God placed between them and others! And that is the same difference God placed between you and others, so permit no dog to move its tongue against your life and all your interest.
Permit no evil whatsoever to come near your dwelling by being ignorant of your difference.
And in case tongue arises; it is the heritage of the servants of the Lord to condemn every tongue risen against them in judgement (Isaiah 54:17).
Therefore, arise with this sound mentality that your case is different.
Permit no evil to near you due to fear or ignorance of who you are in Christ.
"A man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
Prayer: "My Father, My Father! As I begin to pray, I decree and declare, my case is different. No evil shall befall me and all that concerns me.
