The United Church of Zambia UCZ Lusaka Presbytery Bishop Rev. Dr. LORDWELL SIAME has encouraged the clergy to remain spiritually grounded and never be moved by people’s negative opinions.

Delivering his homily under the sub theme “Tend God’s People “, during the induction service for Rev. BRIAN CHEMBE at Nambala secondary school in Nambala consistory, Bishop Dr. SIAME says the Lord who has called the clergy to serve has given each one a role to play as they lead his people.

He adds that the stationing of Rev. CHEMBE at Nambala is timely, as being the school Chaplain, he will help pupils grow their spiritual life and inculcate good morals in them when most children in the country are engaging in bad vices such as drug abuse.

Bishop Dr. SIAME further says Rev. CHEMBE must be strong as he executes his duties, knowing that the Lord is with him and he shall never forsake him, adding that when God through the church decided to make him Chaplain, he knew that a man of his character would be best suited at Nambala to mould good leaders.

He says God cares about his creation, he has them at heart and cannot call them for something that does not exist, as he always shows signs that he is the one at work and he sends helpers.

Bishop Dr.SIAME has since challenged the clergy to be leaders that will lead people out of wrong teachings and ensure they abide by strong Christian beliefs.

The Bishop’s homily was taken from Exodus chapter 3 vs 7 to 12, 1st Timothy chapter 4 vs 1 to 5 and John chapter 21 vs 15 to 17.
