The United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Synod, through the Mission and Evangelism Department, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Student Fellowship Leadership in Higher Institutions of Learning. This follows a resolution by the Synod Executive to establish a leadership structure aimed at serving and empowering students within UCZ university fellowships. The appointed team will also oversee coordination of mission outreach and evangelism programs.
Mission and Vision
The mission of the UCZ Student Fellowship is to create a supportive environment where students can deepen their faith, develop their gifts, and discover their purpose. We envision a community that is:
• Rooted in Scripture and prayer,
• Passionate about serving others and making a difference,
• Equipped to become influential leaders in their communities and all walks of life.
Appointments for the Term January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2026:
• Kasenge Sinyinza – National Student Chairperson (Levy Mwanawasa University)
• Anel Wanza – Secretary General (Mukuba University)
• Benson Simpungwe – Treasurer (Kwame Nkrumah University)
• Andrew Chiona – Student Missions and Evangelism Secretary (University of Zambia)
• Brenda Mambwe – Publicity and Media Secretary (University of Zambia)
The Synod extends its heartfelt congratulations to the appointed leaders as they embark on their first term of service. We pray for God’s guidance and wisdom as they work to strengthen UCZ Student Fellowships across institutions of higher learning, including pioneering new fellowships where none currently exist.
May the leadership team be blessed in their endeavors, and may this appointment lead to the continued growth and impact of UCZ Student Fellowships nationwide.
