He used the text from the book of Hebrew 10 vs 23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Theme; our future peace

Message; Hope in God allows us to look to the future with peace in our hearts.

Summary
Universal peace, peace through Christ,is a prerequisite for joy and true happiness in life.
Our future peace derives from the hope in Christ's return as our saviour and the bridegroom of His church.
This hope is rooted in the certainty that God is faithful, and that He brings peace to believers already today.

The Chilala congregation witnessed the visit of District Rector F Mundia on Sunday around 09:00 hours.

For this special Divine service he read a text word from the book of Luke 10 vs 20.
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

THEME: joy over God's election

Message
Our election by God, which is manifested when we partake in the sacraments, is a true cause for joy.

SUMMARY
1 The disciples were chosen by Jesus and, when they were sent out, were empowered with His authority.
2 Jesus emphasised that is not the authority comferred upon a person that leads to salvation, but election.
3 Those who receive the sacraments, which manifests their election, can be sure that they belong to Christ and are accompanied by the Holy Spirits.
