“God, help me.”

In my weakest moments, these three-word prayer gives me peace. In my brokenness, the only strength I can muster is to say God’s name, to call upon Him and ask for His help.

I don’t know what to say. I don’t even know what to feel. I don’t understand why I have to endure messy, confusing, and terrible things.

But I will keep coming back to Jesus. This world may fail me, but not Him. Everyone else may leave, but God’s love will remain. Where else would I rather be than be with the One who can truly heal me?

So God, please help me.

Help me to be still.
Help me to forgive.
Help me to deny myself.
Help me to focus on Your faithfulness.
Help me to show up each morning.

God, help me.
Please help me to love like You.

Dear God, in the middle of all this mess,
please meet me where I am. I surrender.

A Mr. Kaminda George, 44 year old teacher working in Mpongwe, also acting as deputy head teacher has today been caught red handed by his wife who is also a teacher.

According to available stories, Mr. Kaminda told his wife that he was going to stay in Mpongwe for a week as he was tasked by the head teacher to monitor construction works going on at the school.

The wife who works and lives in Kamirenda Township of Luanshya understood and begged the husband to come with bags of charcoal.

However, the following day, neighbors came to her house in the morning telling her that they had seen Mr. Kaminda at Shoprite with a young girl but she cared less knowing people are fond of talking without concrete proof. Moreover, this was not new to her, these women gossip.

She told them not to interfere in her marriage and asked them to go. Today, it was her daughter who came running to her sighing like she had escaped a man with bad intentions.

The daughter told the mother that her friends tipped her that her father was somewhere in Kamirenda at a lodge with her very college mate.

The mother did not take this lightly, she instantly got off her chair and ran out of compound to the direction of the purported lodge. Her daughter together with her friends followed her behind and before they could reach their destination, hundreds of people if not the entire Kamirenda was behind her asking each other what was going on.

When they reached the lodge, Mrs. Kaminda went through the gate and lucky enough the husband was in the first room she checked. Happy in the arms of a teen. One would think he has been starved for years.

The wife took advantage of his newspaper weight. She held him, slapped him and pushed him away. But before she could get to the girl, the girl made away with her K80 dress in her hand.

Some people forced themselves into the lodge to get first hand information but the security did their job. Mr. Kaminda was rescued and taken to the manager's office.

Everyone else including Mr. Kaminda's wife were pushed outside and the entrance was locked. The Physical Education teacher remembered her Cadet days at Luanshya girls and climbed the building to get to the second flow with so much ease shouting let me finish him off. And the mob went wild.

Despite her brevity to get into the building, the lodge locked all windows and doors forcing her to climb down. This is not over was all she said when her relatives held her.

Meanwhile, we hear the situation has normalized. The police chased the mob and took Mr. Kaminda. His wife was dragged by relatives and talked into.
