What “first love” means
First love refers to the deep, passionate love and devotion to God that believers had when they first believed in Christ. It includes:

Strong love for God
When someone first becomes a Christian, their love for Jesus is usually very passionate and sincere.
Excitement for serving God.

They pray, worship, read the Bible, and serve others with joy.
Love for others 🤝
Early believers often show strong love, kindness, and unity with other people.

Why Jesus warned them
The church in Ephesus was doing many good things:
They worked hard
They rejected false teachings
They were patient and faithful
But Jesus said their hearts had changed.

They were doing the right things without the same love and passion for Him.
The lesson
Jesus tells them to:

Remember where they fell from
Repent
Return to their first love
This means believers should keep their relationship with God sincere and loving, not just religious actions.
