NDOLA, ZAMBIA – The Apostolic Church in Zambia (ACZ) successfully concluded its Ministers’ General Council at Kaniki Bible University College in Ndola, announcing the full slate of its leadership structure following a significant election cycle. This election, held every four years in accordance with the ACZ constitution, saw both re-elections and new appointments to guide the church's mission across all ten provinces.

The council also marked a historic step in restoring the church's Apostolic DNA by formally recognizing and consecrating ministers into the foundational five-fold ministerial calling.

The newly elected Apostolic National Executive Committee (ANEC) will steer the national agenda, which is centered on the ACZ vision of Spearheading Unity, Revival, and Missions.

* National Overseer: Apostle Elias R. Kasonde
* Vice National Overseer: Apostle Osborn Katope
* General Secretary: Apostle Geoffrey D. Chiyana
* National Treasurer: Apostle George M. Bweupe
* Mission Secretary: Bishop Kims Mukwavi

The Regional Overseers are key to the church's organization and expansion, ensuring consistent spiritual direction across Zambia's provinces:
* Copperbelt North Region: Joshua Malama
* Copperbelt South Region: Joel Mhango
* Central Region: Hector Sinyangwe
* Lusaka Region: Henry Zulu
* Muchinga/Northern: Evaristo Chokwe
* Luapula Region: John Ngosa
* Southern Region: Dennis Chiyana
* Eastern Province, Chama, and Chipata appointments were deferred.

In addition to the national and regional leaders, the council confirmed the following District Overseers who will lead the church at the local level:
* Chingola/Chililabombwe District: Happy Banda
* Kitwe District: Simon Kavuma
* Luanshya District: Aaron Mwale
* Ndola District: Barbra Chitafu
* Central North: Leo Mulenga
* Central South: Winfred K***a
* Muchinga: Christopher Muzumara
* Northern District: Emmanuel Chisha
* Lusaka South: Kennedy Zambwe
* Lusaka North: Gershom Nyirenda
* Southern District: Tom Banda

During the council, a total of nine ministers, including the National Overseer and General Secretary, were recognized and consecrated as Apostles. Additionally, Joshua Malama was recognized and consecrated as a Prophet.
This move reverses a trend that had seemed to divert the church into an Episcopalian-type government and re-establishes the core apostolic tradition and doctrine. This commitment to the ACZ’s spiritual identity underpins its continued efforts to unite the nation and ensure Zambia remains a Christian Nation.

The Apostolic Church in Zambia, founded in 1957 in Mikomfwa, Luanshya, now boasts over 300 branches with approximately 30,000 members across all ten provinces, with national headquarters in Mitengo, Ndola.
The new leadership, representing the entire structure from the National Overseer to the District Overseers, has pledged to do their best, helped by the grace of God, in their new mandate.

ACZ is a pivotal Pentecostal denomination in Zambia, dedicated to fostering unity, driving revival, and engaging in mission work.
