Parach Daily Devotional | 15. 10.21

Love Unconditionally.

Scripture of the day :
"If someone says, " I love God, " and hates his brother, he is a liar, for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?" - 1 John 4:20(NKJV)

Message :

The Bible says our God is love and he who has no love, does not know God (1John 4:8). I have seen something disheartening in the Body of Christ - the Church. We are children of God and we are to love just because our Father, our maker is love. I have seen people who worship in the same church not speak to each other. I have observed one Church fighting against another church, a Man of God fighting against another Man of God. Well, the Word of God reminds us today that whoever hates his brother is a liar ( 1John 4:20). The devil is the father of lies (John 8:44), which means whoever hates his brother is of the devil. Remember the Church is the Body of Christ, different churches are different part of the same Body of Christ. In the Church there are different parts of the same Body.

The Bible says a house divided against itself cannot stand (Matthew 12:25) The Bible also says when you want to offer a sacrifice and you remember that there is an issue with a brother, run and make peace with your brother and only then go ahead and give your sacrifice (Matthew 5:23-24).This is how much God values our love for one another.

Action Point :

Be the change that is so needed in the Body of Christ today. Begin to love unconditionally. Go back and reconcile with your brother or sister. Do not be the one who perpetrates animosity between different churches. Be a person of love, because your Maker, is love itself. Do not allow the day to end with unresolved issues against others in your heart. Train yourself to love without conditions. Be the positive difference that the world so desperately thirsts for.

Prayer :

"Father in the name of Jesus, let Your love be in my heart by Your Spirit. May I operate in love, just as You are love. From today, I forgive those who have wronged me. I will learn to acknowledge my wrongs so I can reconcile with my brother and sister. Give me strength in my weaknesses, oh Lord . I want to be the most needed change and a solution - giver in the Body of Christ today, in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen"

PARACH DAILY DEVOTION
(Thursday, 12 October)

Scripture of the day:

"The Spirit of the Lord is up Me,because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;" -Isaiah 61:1 (NKJV)
Message:
Jesus fulfilled the prophecy in scripture above. We know this because in Luke 4:18 He said," The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives."This was a prophecy from God, foretold by prophet Isaiah to Israel. The Lord makes a declaration that "The prisoner is soon to be set free".The same Spirit that was upon the Lord Jesus to set the captives free, is now on us. He lives in us. Like Jesus said, you can declare the same and say,"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me and He has anointed me preach the gospel and to set the captives free."In this season, we need to fulfill the scripture as it has been declared in Isaiah 61.
Before Christ, there was the law, to which we were enslaved, with its regulations and obligations. Then because of God's love for His children,this prophecy was fulfilled; Jesus came and set us free. We, through Christ received life:fulfilling God's prophecy that we are now seated with Christ, in Heaven. The Lord of Armies defeated what enslaved us and held us captive, setting us free to enjoy abundant life. We have been set free from captivity and brought back into the house of our Father.

Action point:

The redeemed children of God ought never to find their minds enslaved to mental pain and distress. We must never find ourselves in chains that we fail to broken off from because Jesus already came and liberated us. We must not be enslaved to addictions because the prisons of addictions have been opened by our Lord Jesus Christ. Everything we do should be from the knowledge that we have been set free.

Action point:
You need to recognize how important you are; not just to the kingdom of God but also to all humanity as the reason for your existence. Understand that God did not just haphazardly bring you onto the Earth, your life has purpose. It is time to figure that purpose and live it. Understand that serving has nothing to do with self but for others, therefore it requires love. I want you to begin to live an intentional life, where you use your gift to achieve or satisfy the will of God for His kingdom, where you perform your kingdom mandate (duties). This is so that, on that sweet day, God will call you a faithful steward for His Grace.
Go out and use your gift for service.

Prayer:
"Dear father, thank you for the gift I have received from you. I yield myself to your purpose for this gift; which is to serve others in your kingdom, to the glory of your son Jesus Christ. As I serve, I do it remembering that I am a steward of your varied grace, in Jesus' Might name. Amen."

Scripture of the day

"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God".
- 1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)

Message:
On the first day of the month of August,we celebrated Global ECG Day. We were celebrating a church that came about because I answered the call of God on my life. There would be no ECG, let alone a celebration, if I was fearful or staggered in unbelief at the promises of God for the nations, that God purposed through me as a prophet. When your faith is challenged, do not cower, stand your ground on His prophecies. Today's scripture urges us to use our gift to serve one another. Note that the scripture says"gift" and not gifts. Thus, this gift is a principal calling upon one's life which carries the variety of ways the gift will manifest, according to God's grace.
I have often asked, "What would have happened had I not answered the calling over my life?" I understood that my calling is to serve. We are able celebrate Global ECG Day because I used my calling to serve. How are you using your gift? Have you answered the call of God over your life at all? It would be a very big error for any believer to think that all they are called for is salvation. In Matthew 28:19 Jesus Christ commanded us to: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations." Thus, no child of God can think that they have no calling because we are all called to serve as Christ served us.
