CHILANGA SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST YOUTHS HAND OVER HOUSE TO WIDOW🙏🏠

What a Sabbath to remember in Mubuyu!

Joy and celebration filled the air this afternoon as Chilanga Seventh-day Adventist Church handed over a brand-new house to our dear sister, ailing widow Lidden Malambo.

This beautiful project was spearheaded by Chilanga SDA Youth Ministries following Global Youth Day in March. Our amazing youths from Mubuyu and Bethel Company rolled up their sleeves — clearing the site, fundraising, and serving with their hands and hearts. All this was made possible through church administration support and the generous contributions from church members, including our youths.

Why did they do it? Because faith without works is dead. Our youth leaders say this project was about turning faith into action and discipling young people through service.

Hundreds of members witnessed the handover as our youths sang praise while Sister Malambo received the keys to her safe, new home. What a moment!

Officiating at the ceremony, Pastor Isaac Chiyokoma commended the youths and reminded us from Psalm 127:1, _“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”_ He encouraged every member to maintain communion with Christ and impact our communities through acts of service.

An emotional Sister Malambo thanked the church family for giving her a safe place to call home.

Project Coordinator Higgins Siagwinta shared that the one -bedroomed house was completed within a month against the projection of 3months at a cost of over K82,000 . Praise God!

Chilanga District Youth President Judith Mweetwa Thole said our youths are supplementing government efforts to uplift the poor. She reminded us that Global Youth Day is not just one day — it’s a launch for year-round impact. True communion with Christ is shown through action, and projects like this train our youths for leadership and compassion.

To God be the glory! Let’s keep serving. 💛
