(90) DAYS OF SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD DAY 63 TUESDAY 01-09-2026,

( Genesis 25:27-28)

*Parental Favoritism
"And the boys grew:* and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents. [28] And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob." Genesis 25:27-28 KJV

As Esau and Jacob grew, their differences became very obvious. Esau thrived in the open field, skillful and adventurous, while Jacob was quiet, preferring life at home. Neither was better or worse in themselves, yet their differences set the stage for conflict. What complicated matters further was parental favoritism, Isaac preferred Esau, while Rebekah favored Jacob. Such divided affections within the family would later bear bitter fruit. This passage reminds us that natural differences are part of God's design. Not every child, believer, or servant of God will look or act the same. Yet when favoritism enters, harmony is broken. Isaac and Rebekah's partiality did not merely reflect preference, it shaped how their sons related to each other, intensifying strife that would linger for generations.

Beloved, we should take this as a lesson in relationships, and community. In the family, the church, and even friendships, favoritism breeds division. James, warns that showing partiality is sin (James 2:1-4). When love is not equally given, wounds become deep and trust will start to wither. Instead, we are called to demonstrate the impartial love of God, who values each child uniquely but without favoritism. At the same time, the differences between Esau and Jacob also remind us that God's will often unfolds through moments of contrast. Just as Esau represented strength and Jacob quiet persistence, God weaves His story through diversity, yet directs it all toward His sovereign plan.

Prayer point: Lord, help us to love without favoritism. Teach us to honor the differences You have designed in each person, and to treat all with fairness and grace. May our homes and communities reflect Your impartial love, so that division does not take root. Guide us to trust Your wisdom as You work through diversity to accomplish Your will. In Jesus name. ( Psalms 27:14)

*Waiting On The Lord*
be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." Psalm 27:14 KJV

Often, we don't like to wait because we feel that it is a waste of time. We want things to be fast, like what we have in our apps, fast shipping, instant noodles, and many others designed to shorten the waiting time. But there are many essential things in life that we cannot just take hastily, especially when it is waiting for God's answer. We have to understand that God has His own timeline and He does not need to submit to our demands, but one thing is sure, He is always on time. Like David, we must learn to be patient as we wait upon the Lord. But if you observe in this verse, David is not just telling us to wait; he exhorts us to "be of good courage." The idea of waiting for God often needs courage for we have to give up control and often, we feel fear or worry when we don't have control over life. It can be very tempting to give in to our impatience and just do things our own way and force a solution. But we must learn to trust God and take courage, even when we cannot see what is up ahead.

Beloved, being courageous in waiting means that our confidence is placed in God's character and sovereignty, rather than trying to comprehend our circumstances. Each time we are struggling, we must be reminded thaty God is loving, patient, considerate, and He is always working for our good. Waiting on the Lord helps develop our faith and patience. He uses seasons of waiting to refine us and grow us in our walk with Him. When we trust in His timing we experience a quiet and calm confidence that overcomes our fears and worries, filling us with His peace.

Prayer point: Lord, You know how impatient we can be when we wait. Help us to trust in Your perfect timing and that we may find strength in knowing that You are in control. Teach us patience and faith as we surrender all control to You and let Your work be done in our lives. In Jesus name. Amen.

( Psalms 27:10)

*Loved and Unforsaken*
"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up." Psalm 27:10 KJV

It is sad how fragile human relationships can be. Our most important relationships, next to God, can easily break apart due to conflict, selfishness, and other relational issues. Misunderstanding and unresolved issues can easily turn any marriage downward spiral. Family feuds happen when each member loses the will to resolve and reconcile differences. Everywhere in the world, we see a lot of orphanages due to parents who cannot take on the responsibility of raising kids. Being forsaken is very painful, when the people we expect to love, protect, and nurture us, abandon us. It is a sad reality of human brokenness. David tells us in this psalm, that even though our parents, who we expect to be there, forsake us, God will never abandon but will always be there for us.

Beloved, even though we are forsaken by those closest to us, including friends, we can take hold of God's promise. We do have people who will stick with us but there are times that, no matter how good they are, they still fail in keeping their promise. Understanding this fact can help us, not just appreciate God's goodness, but also make us more patient, considerate, and forgiving of other people. Only God is unfailing in keeping His promises. When He said that He will never leave us nor forsake us, that is sure and certain. People are limited in their capacity to always provide care and support. But God's love for us is different, it is consistent, unchanging despite our faults, and unending. Such a comforting truth to know that His love is personal and compassionate. God is perfect in His love, despite our failures.

Prayer point: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unconditional and unfailing love. Help us to remember Your goodness whenever we feel forsaken and alone. Teach us also to be more considerate and forgiving of other people. May we live to reflect Your love and goodness. In Jesus name. Amen.

( Psalms 27:3)

*Faith Over Fear*
"Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident." Psalm 27:3 KJV

Most often, when we are faced with a crisis or when it hits us hard, it is just natural that we feel fear and lose confidence. This happens most especially when we feel powerless. Like a soldier fighting against an entire army by himself, we feel vulnerable and outnumbered. This is what David is saying in this verse, yet he chose to respond beyond what is natural and found His confidence, as he puts his faith in God. As an experienced warrior, David has been very familiar with danger. He already faced many threats, fought powerful enemies in battle, and carried the burden of leading a nation as king. But there were times that the threats he was facing were just too much for him. Despite his experience, he knew his limitations and understood that he needed God. His confidence is not based on his strength or experience but on the character of God. He knew that with God by his side, he did not need to be scared and he could face an army, confident in the power of God.

Beloved, whenever we are overwhelmed by the difficulties around us, it is good to heed the words of David and always trust God. There are times that our trials are so overwhelming that we start to lose hope and faith. To God, the problem is not the real issue, it is our lack of faith as we choose to magnify the situation instead of upholding God and putting our trust in His capacity. God is our Deliverer, Protector, and Sustainer. Each time we stand firm in Him and His promises, our faith builds up. We may feel surrounded by our problems, but remember that we are also surrounded by God's love, mercy, grace, and power.

Prayer point: Lord, help me to put my trust in You whenever problems surround me. Remind me of who You are, knowing that our confidence rests upon Your character, not our capacity. May we always choose faith, not fear. In Jesus name. Amen.

*Ultimate Guidance*
"When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee." Proverbs 6:22 KJV

In our modern time, most people use the GPS system to guide us in our travels. We rely upon it to navigate through unfamiliar places or finding the fastest way to get to our destination. Just as the GPS serves as a constant source of direction, the Word of God serves as our spiritual GPS that guides us through the complexities of life. This is what Solomon is talking about in this proverb, the Lord's wisdom through His Word gives us guidance for all aspects of life. As we trust in the GPS to direct us safely, we must trust in the Bible to direct the steps we make, protect the condition of our souls in times of weakness, and speak encouragement, correction, and wisdom for godly living. In every season and all parts of our lives, whether we are awake, talking, working, or resting, God's Word provides perfect guidance. GPS-based navigation phone applications today will reroute us whenever we take the wrong turn and God's Word does the same thing to us whenever we feel lost and confused.

Beloved, His Word, brings clarity and realignment when our path starts to look vague or when we start to stray. Even in our sleep, where we are most vulnerable, the promises in His Word bring security and calm down our fears and worries that we are able to have real rest under His watch. As we wake up, we are renewed and strengthened to fulfill His purpose in our lives. That is why it is essential to start and fill our day with the Word of God. He speaks to us when we are awake, protects us when we are at rest, and leads us in our journey as we walk with Him.

Prayer point: Lord, thank You for Your Word that brings perfect guidance. Help us to always trust in Your unfailing Word as we sleep, awake, work, talk, and as we journey through life. Let Your Word saturate our whole being as we walk by faith. In Jesus name. Amen.

( Proverbs 6:6)

*Ant Lessons*
"Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise" Proverbs 6:6 KJV

There are people we look up to, great men and women who have set a high bar for excellence, talent, skills, and success. We often look to leaders, visionaries, artists, and celebrities to find inspiration. But there are times that one of life's greatest lessons can be found in some of the smallest and simplest creatures on earth. This is what this proverb is pointing out to us, to learn the lesson of diligence from ants. Such insects, though they may look small and seemingly insignificant, have the amazing ability to work tirelessly. Even without a supervisor or commander, ants are very consistent and very organized, knowing what to do by instinct. Often, we feel lazy or procrastinate because we waste so much of our time and resources. We can learn about hard work, diligence, responsibility, and preparation from the ant. Since the beginning, God meant for man to work, although work was not hard before the fall. God's word may be encouraging us to trust Him at all times, but it doesn't mean that we can be lazy. God also values hard work as implied in this verse, but it has to be coupled with faithfulness and trusting God as we work.

Beloved, when we delay or neglect our responsibilities, we miss the opportunity to be blessed by God. Laziness leads to a life of financial and spiritual poverty. In the financial aspect, we cannot hope to earn more and prosper if we are always lazy. In the spiritual aspect, we cannot expect to grow in our walk if we are also lazy in reading, studying, meditating, and applying the Word of God. We cannot hope to grow in faith if we do not give time to prayer and in applying faith in every opportunity. Whether in financial or spiritual, God has called us to be responsible by working hard and practicing faith at the same time. God wants us to succeed but He also wants us to participate as our way of stepping out in faith.

Prayer point: Lord, help us not to give in to laziness as we often do. May we learn from the ant's diligence as we work and believe in Your provision. Help us to be diligent, most importantly, in our pursuit of You. That we may grow more mature and grow in our intimacy with You. In Jesus name. Amen.

(90) DAYS OF SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD DAY 57 WEDNESDAY 26-08-2026,

( Proverbs 5:12)

*The Cost of Ignoring Wisdom*
"And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; [13] And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!" Proverbs 5:12-13 KJV

There are things in life that may not feel good but they are important and beneficial. Like eating bitter melon, for instance, not a lot like eating this vegetable because of the really bitter taste. It may not taste good, even repulsive to some, but is very beneficial to physical health by helping reduce blood sugar levels. Just as bitter melon does not taste good but is very beneficial, so is the instruction and correction that comes from God. King Solomon is urging us to listen and love the discipline of the wise for it brings good. It is sad that when we ignore or reject God's discipline, we end up with so many regrets. The Bible contains everything we need to know about right living but when we neglect to read it and meditate on it, we are bound to do foolish things that we end up regretting so much. Not only with the Word of God, we need Godly counsel and accountability but sadly, because of pride we tend to reject or ignore the corrections of those who love us like godly mentors, and even the leading of the Holy Spirit. Often we think that we know better and stop listening to learn from others and the Word of God. God's wisdom shows us the way to avoid the pitfalls of life yet we choose to turn a deaf ear, eventually resulting in regrets. Regret is not just about what was done wrong but also about what we should have done right if we just listened.

Beloved, we must learn to have a humble and teachable heart and be ready to receive correction and guidance. God puts people in our lives that can help us in our walk, like teachers, parents, mentors, pastors, and church friends. But even if we have godly counsel from others and the Word of God, it will still be up to us to heed the advice. Ignoring wisdom today can lead to regret and sorrow tomorrow but if we choose to seek it early on, it can protect and spare us from unnecessary pain and sorrow. Correction may not be pleasant at first but as we embrace it, we grow and receive the reward.

Prayer point: Lord, help us to be humble and teachable. Teach us to be open to corrections from Your Word and from other people. We don't want to be filled with regrets because of a heart that refuses to listen but we want to respond well as we are confronted by the rebukes of the godly. May we treasure godly counsel in our walk with You. In Jesus name. Amen.

(90) DAYS OF SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD DAY 56 TUESDAY 25-08- #026,

( Proverbs 5:8)

*Keep Distance*
Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: Proverbs 5:8 KJV

If a person walks too close to the edge of a cliff, it becomes very dangerous because the risk of falling increases, while someone who stays far away is safer. It is the same when we deal with sin in life. Oftentimes, it is not how strong we think we are in resisting sin that makes us victorious, it is when we acknowledge that we are weak and the most prudent thing to do is stay as far away as we can from sin. That is what Solomon is saying here, "remove thy way far from her." We cannot always assume that our conviction is strong enough to resist temptation. We must have the humility to recognize our weaknesses and avoid situations and places where temptations can seem too compelling for us. Solomon warned, "come not nigh the door of her house," which clearly meant that we should not even get near temptation. Whenever we are seduced by immorality, lust, greed, dishonesty, or any other sin, the strategy is always the same: stay as far away as you can.

Beloved, in our battle against sin, it requires intentionality in our action and words. It is not enough to just pray for strength and will, but we must also be practical and take necessary action. We cannot take sin lightly but must be dealt with firmly and forcefully. For instance, if someone struggles with a certain sin, they must be wise enough to stay away from environments, people, or situations that would only lead them to a difficult battle with temptation. Putting yourself in such a struggle is dangerous, unnecessary, and could have easily been avoided beforehand. As God's people, He has given us wisdom to discern where the danger lies, but it is important that we act on that wisdom.

Prayer point: Lord, help us to be wise enough to avoid putting ourselves in a position of unnecessary battle against sin. Give us the wisdom to know and the will to act upon that wisdom. Enable us to have a strong resolve to create steps and boundaries to protect our souls from the corruption of sin. May we always stay close to You and rely upon Your wisdom as we face the world everyday. In Jesus name. Amen.

( Proverbs 5:3-4)

*Sweet But Bitter*
"For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: [4] But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword." Proverbs 5:3-4 KJV

In the garden of Eden, the forbidden fruit did not look rotten and repulsive but looked good to eat and desirable. Sin has always been like that, presenting itself as very attractive, compelling, and seemed to be harmless. Offering immediate gratification and temporal pleasure, very much like how sweet honey is. But it's very deceptive, it makes you feel good for a moment but it eventually brings pain, destruction, and regret. This proverb gives us a warning about how seductive sin is, symbolized by a strange woman with alluring words like honeycomb drops but conceal the awful consequences that follow. As the woman's mouth is "smoother than oil," so is the persuasiveness of sin that subtly slips into our mind and heart, as it masks itself as something seemingly good, justifiable, or even pleasurable. For every temptation we face, they will always feel compelling but Solomon warns us to see beyond the immediate. Sin will always bring so much guilt, brokenness, spiritual death, and other painful consequences. It can cut through our lives and our faith and leave lasting damage. It can destroy relationships, trust, or create a rift between us and God, a very high price to pay. No matter how pleasurable sin is, it is never worth suffering the long-term consequences it brings.

Beloved, we must be watchful against the allure of sin. The only thing that can help us guard ourselves against the seductive pull of temptation is fortifying our hearts and mind with the Word of God and being filled by His presence. Man's will and wisdom is too weak to resist the wiles of sin. Only God's wisdom can enable us to see through temptation's disguise. With the truth of the Bible, we can see the ugliness of sin and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can have good discernment. Sin may look sweet and desirable but God's word is sweeter and its results are much more pleasurable, without corrupting our souls. That’s the kind of perspective we must strive to attain as we stay faithful to God and His Word. But in times that temptation comes at us with things that we know are the most irresistible to us, we must learn to flee or avoid such situations where we are the weakest. Lastly, we must seek Godly accountabilities. Surround ourselves with fellow believers who will encourage and not hesitate to rebuke and correct us when we face temptations or compromise. To remind us that sin may look sweet and feel pleasurable but it leaves a bitter and painful taste in our lives.

Prayer point: Lord, we badly need You and Your guidance. Give us Your wisdom so we may have discernment to reveal sin's deception and enable us to flee or avoid opportunities of irresistible temptations. May we guard our souls as we fill ourselves with Your wisdom and presence. In Jesus name. Amen.

(90) DAYS OF SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD DAY 54 SUNDAY 23-08-2026

( Proverbs 4 26-27)

*Guard Your Steps*
"Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. [27] Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil." Proverbs 4:26-27 KJV

The decisions that we make everyday affect the path that we take in life. There are choices that may just have short-term effects while there are some that can change a person's whole life. Each choice we make is a step closer to certain paths. Often, we have decisions that we have not given much thought and consideration to, leading to consequences that we end up regretting later. Due to our impulsivity or the desire to get immediate gratification, we put ourselves in trouble. King Solomon gives strong advice to "ponder the path of thy feet" which means that we must carefully think and assess our choices in life. To watch our steps here is more than just having strategic decisions but it is a call to remain steadfast in walking the righteous path of God, not to keep on turning to the left or right as we are being swayed by compromises. Because every step we take, as we make our choices, will either bring us a step closer or farther from God's plan for us.

Beloved, each time we make our life choices we must ask ourselves where our current choices will lead us in the future. Are the choices we make now bringing us closer to righteousness, or are we swerving towards sinful compromise? We must ponder upon our hearts and weigh it with the truth. If we find ourselves trying to justify every wrong thing we did, even if the Word of God has something to say about it, then we must learn to stop and find the humility to admit our sinful tendencies. By trying to convince ourselves that our compromises are just fine, then we are not fooling anyone else, but ourselves. God may be gracious but it doesn't mean that His commandments are negotiable. We cannot try to haggle with God to suit our sinful desires. His Word should not adjust to our steps but instead, it should be us. As Solomon said "let all thy ways be established." God's ways and standards are unchangeable, we must make sure that we stay firm, secure, and grounded in it. We can do this by constantly seeking God's guidance through prayer and reading the Bible, regularly assessing ourselves if the things we think and do are still according to His will, and by being conscious of situations, people, and opinions that may lead us away from God's path for us. So, as we continue to ponder the path of our feet and walk in righteousness, we can have the confidence that God will guide and establish our ways

Prayer point: Lord, help me to look into my decisions and consider how it will affect my faith and life. Guide us as we commit to stay firm and steadfast in the path You have set for us. May we never turn to the left or right, drifting away from Your will. In Jesus name. Amen.
