THE CONTINUATION OF OUR MESSAGE

Last week we saw that God wants to exercise dominion and He can do that not apart from us , the church but through us. We saw that man had dominion before but at the fall he lost it to satan but God returned it back to us in redemption. Now we have both authority and power over all things. We saw that the means by which God wants to use for dominion is our words. Let's hear more from today's message.

THEME: FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH
1 Timothy 6:12-14 (KJV)
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

WHAT COMMAND ARE WE TO KEEP, TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH?

How do we fight the good fight of faith?
👉By maintaining our good confession.

What is a good confession?
👉It's from the Greek word Homologia meaning = To agree with God or to speak the same.

Jesus was being tried in court by Pontius Pilate. Trying to get Him to respond, Pilate said,
" you are a king then!"
👉Jesus answered , " You are right in saying I am a king. In fact for this reason I was born and for this I came into this world- to testify to the truth.

He did not look like a king, but in the heavenly places He was aking. His kingdom would be manifested to this would.

👉Jesus made a good confession as to who he was.

He is our pattern, We too can make our confession as to our position , who we really are--
We are , , , , , , etc-- and by doing this,

👉We can change our own individual worlds.

👉We don't deny the facts , we just believe that the facts will change and truth will prevail Heb 13:5&6.

God says , "my thoughts are not your thoughts...."
👉Don't speak what comes from your thoughts.
👉Speak what comes from His thoughts.

👉The determining factor of whether or not we enjoy dominion in this life is our words. It is what we say.

How important is our words?

James said that the tongue is one of the smallest part of the body, yet it is the most powerful.
He uses the three analogues to illustrate this;

He describes it as like-
1, A Rudder of a ship
2, A bit in a horse's mouth and
3, A small spark 👉James 3:2-8

They all are very small, just like the tongue, yet their potential is to control either for good or bad.....

The appearance of Jesus Christ will be to the sleeping and living believers only at that time and that isn't the day of the Lord talked about in 1 Thes 5 vs 1 and Mathew. The rapture will happen first before the day of the Lord that cometh as a thief in the night and Apostle Paul puts clear that, that day will not overtake believers because it will come after all believers have been raptured already in chapter 4 vs 17, 18 of Thes. The day of the Lord is the second coming of the Lord whilst the day of rapture or the day of Jesus Christ is the first phase of the second coming of the Lord. Rapture is the wedding day when Jesus Christ will rapture (hapadzo) His wife the church to be with him always. And br Paul ends with the words "confort one another with these words" because the next horrible happenings in the next chapter will not affect the church. When you read further 1Thes 5 vs 1 going down, it shows you that believers are not appointed to wrath meaning believers are not of that day. ✝ 1 Thessalonians 5:9

"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ," This salvation in the verse above is the salvation from the presence of sin forever which will happen to believers on the rapture day, when their bodies will be changed into glorious bodies.
Believers are not of the day of wrath but of another day, the rapture day.

HERE IS THE CONTINUATION OF THE TOPIC WE HAD LAST WEEK.

THEMED: PRAYING AND SAYING

SPIRITUAL ECOLOGY

The greatest need of the church is to understand spiritual ecology.

👉ECOLOGY is the study of how a living organism interacts and adapts perfectly with it's natural habitat. Eg Fish in the water.
👉Many Christians are like fish out of the water.
Take them out of the grace and Knowledge of Jesus and they will be gasping for breath.

👉What is Christian natural habitat? We are exorted to grow in the grace and the Knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18.

👉You cannot force growth. There is nothing more natural than growth.
Growth is just an expansion of the life we already have.

👉So we don't need to pray for the blessings we already have received regarding our new creation identity.

👉It is vital to understand this because our position is the basis for exercising dominion.

👉We were created to have dominion on the earth .
This was handed over to satan at the fall but restored to us in redemption.

👉Paul says ..Rom 5:17. Grace reigns through Righteousness Rom5:21

👉Our position entitles us to dominion.
The wicked flee when no one pursues but the righteous are as bold as a lion Prov 28:1.

👉Dominion is the exercise of two things:
Power- dunamis and Authority-- Exousis

👉A thief may have power to rob someone but he doesn't have the right to do it
👉On the other hand the police officer may have the right to exercise authority to arrest someone but if someone pulls a gun on him and ties him up then he doesn't have the power to do it.

👉To have dominion we need both power and authority

👉God gave the church both authority Mat 28:18-20. And power Acts 1:8 over the powers of darkness, the occupying forces.

👉Many sincere believers live their whole lives without knowing that they have been given dominion.

>When you know then you live by Faith.
>When you don't know you live by Fate.

👉God is in control, not us. He is sovereign; He does what he wants .

👉He is in control but He exercises that control through the delegated members of His church eg a local council and the garbage collector.

👉The garbage does not remain uncollected because the council will it, but because the means they have provided for it to be collected have not been used.

👉God intends to rule through us, not apart from us.
👉He has given us dominion.
We exercise dominion through the means He has provided I.e our words.

👉In order to exercise authority, we must speak the word of God.
God created the world through His word.

👉Jesus exercised dominion through His words, not His prayers.

👉He spoke to the winds and waves " quite! be still!" And the storm obeyed him.

👉He said to the sick, be heald!" And His word cured them.

👉He used only his word to drive out demons, "come out of him!"

👉To a dead person He said , "I said unto you , arise!"

👉He overcame the devil by saying "away with you satan!"

👉In each situation , He knew the father's will and spoke in harmony with that . Each time , in the temptations for example, He replied " It is written!" ......

Good morning all beloveds .

Following the directives by the head of state Mr Edigar Chagwa Lungu which he said and I quote "... churches May start gathering so long the laid down heath preventive measures against Covid-19 are adhered to.... " the word May there is not a command but a call to decision making by the stake holders hence we as the Message of Grace ministries int have decided to remain and continue to conduct bible studies in small home cells and not going to a big gathering in church building until further notice. Worship from homes and keep safe. Grace to you all. Your brother and friend. Chichi.

Acts1:8. People are busy going round the world seaching 4 power. power does not com by climbing on the tallest mountain in the world, Not by works of righteousness etc. Power coms when one recvs the Holy Spirit by faith alone in christ&his finished on calvary alone.Eph1:13. ITS All by GRACE thru FAITH. Rom4:16. Nathing else. Its a done deal. WITNESSES TO CHRIST. chinoya&friends.
