WHISPERS OF DELIVERANCE
Scripture: Ephesians 6:12–19
As Christians, we fight battles that we cannot see, but we often have an idea that something is not okay. When you sit and reflect, you may find that you are not pleased with some things. It is like you know what is troubling you, and you are trying, but you cannot seem to be free from it.
Most people go to church because they want to be free, but that is just one of the privileges. The reason to come to church should be to worship the Lord and to allow your faith to grow. In church, there are a lot of people who are not living according to the way God wants them to live.
Some people have missed opportunities to live according to their calling because their focus is on the flesh. Many of us want things to work in our lives, but we forget that we have a purpose to live for. Your purpose is not what you desire, but what God desires for your life.
Many, after reflection, can realize that what we want is not the desire of the Lord. That is because the voice of the enemy is making noise, and we cannot hear the voice of the Lord. That is why the Bible says, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities...”
The enemy and his kingdom do their things in a systematic way, so we have to wake up from our slumber and reclaim our destiny. The battle is not in the flesh. It is not the people you fight with, but forces that you cannot even see.
There are a lot of whispers in our lives that we need deliverance from.
We are to know the tactics of the enemy and know that the plans of the enemy cannot surpass the Kingdom of God. We wrestle against a system that is able to see what is supposed to happen, even next year, and delay it. That delay will frustrate you. We need to come to a level as Christians where we live according to what the Word of God says.
As Christians, we know that we are in a battle, but we do not know how to fight in this battle. We come to pray, but we do not know how to pray. There are problems; we see them, but we do not know how to come out of them.
But if we believe in God, all these issues will not suppress the power of God. Many times, when we encounter troubles, we ask, “Am I going to die?” Fear gives the enemy power. Now that you are afraid, the fear will come, and then he will strike.
You have the power to bring down all the voices whispering in your mind.
James 4:7 says, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
But if we do not know how to resist him, it becomes worse. The way to resist him is to use a prophetic word. No matter what the situation is, use a prophetic word to your advantage.
If God made a way for you when you never had a job, but now you have one, you can use the same words for you to be uplifted.
When the level of faith has gone higher, you can easily resist the devil.
If you want to fight the enemy, know your purpose for this earth, because it is loaded with a lot of things in it.
You have the authority to change the course of your life. You have to learn how to use the same authority, or it will not work for you. Let us know how to respond to the enemy, because that is the only way we can resist him.
Mark 5:1–19
The man was possessed by demons. He was a human being just like you and me. He knew something was wrong, but there was nothing he could do. He was controlled by a legion of demons.
The manifestation in our lives tells us that something is wrong. The man would break the chains. Jesus knew something was wrong with the man. He had lost his mind, but the Bible tells us that we have to know how to fight because the battle is not in the flesh or the physical, but in the spirit.
The Lord commanded the demons, and they understood the authority which Jesus had. They worshipped Him.
Do you know the authority that you have?
We need to stand and let no one stop us from doing that which the Lord wants us to do.
The One who is in you is greater than the one that is in the world.
All this begins with your submission to God. Jesus came to show us the way of submission.
