COMPLACENCY IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD BRINGS ABOUT DEATH!!

Isaiah 21:5 reads, “Look! They are preparing a great feast. They are spreading rugs for people to sit on. Everyone is eating and drinking. But quick! Grab your shields and prepare for battle. You are being attacked!”

All too often, Christians tend to neglect the need to be on fire for God. People tend to forget what God has done in the past, what he is doing, and what he is about to do. Remember the people of Israel, Remember the people who wanted to build the tower of Babel.

How can we be on fire for God?
1. By reading his word and meditating on it
2. By prayer
3. By fasting
4. By living a righteous life
5. By serving in his kingdom

How can we be complacent?
1. Not praying
2. Not reading his word
3. No attending church
4. Displaying fruits of the enemy (i.e. greed, pride, anger, un forgiveness, etc.)

Christianity is like a battleground and like a good warrior, you must prepare for it. A good Christian is like a watchman who watches over his family, friends, colleagues, church mates, leaders, the nation. The more you pray for others, the more blessings, grace, favor comes your way. If Jesus was complacent, he would going to allow the devil to succeed and prophecy wasn’t going to be fulfilled. We must have a Jesus Christ Character in order to attain victory in this journey called life. Avoid the wrath of God by being vigilant in all your works.

JUSTICE IS FOR CORRECTION AND NOT PUNISHMENT!!

Proverbs 28:5 reads, ““ Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.”

Discipline is meant to bring correction and not strife or anger. Pride will not allow justice to prevail. Lack of understanding comes about because of a lack of knowledge of who you are in Christ. When evil advances and brings manipulation in our life, it is possible to miss the move of God in our life.

In Christianity, justice must prevail in order to break the barrier the enemy created. In your wrong doing, seek God so that you may be redeemed through Jesus Christ. In order to be put right with God, one must seek his face always to point out an area of correction. Don’t condemn but seek God for direction to get out of your problem or situation.

BOLDNESS IN CHARACTER MUST BE DISPLAYED BY EVERY BELIEVER!!!

Acts 18:9-10 reads, "Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.”

In a vision, Christ told Paul that he had many people in Corinth. We must display that boldness when wickedness is near. God has not instilled in us the spirit of fear but that of boldness and courage. Sometimes, we can feel alone or isolated, especially when we see wickedness all around us or are persecuted for our faith. Usually, however, there are others in the neighborhood or community who also follow Christ. these are people that can stand with you. Remember the believe's cry out to God when Peter and James were incarcerated. Always know that someone is with you but you too must display courage in the face of the enemy.

FOCUS OF PROBLEMS AND NOT SOLUTIONS CREATES BARRIERS BETWEEN US AND GOD ALMIGHTY!!!!!

Numbers 16:13-14 reads, "Isn’t it enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness? And now you also want to lord it over us! Moreover, you haven’t brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Do you want to treat these men like slaves? No, we will not come!”

One of the easiest ways to fall away from following God is to look at our present problems and exaggerate them. Dathan and Abiram did just that when they began to long for better food and more pleasant surroundings. when we take our eyes off God and start looking at ourselves and our problems, we begin to lose our perspective as well. Overating problems can hinder our relationship with God. Dont let difficulties make you lose sight of God's direction for your life.

LIMITING GOD IS LIMITING THE WORK HE CAN DO FOR YOU!!

Numbers 11:21-23 reads, "And Moses said, “The people whom I am among are six hundred thousand men on foot; yet You have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat fora whole month.’ Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to provide enough for them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to provide enough for them?” And the Lord said to Moses, “Has the Lord’s arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not.”

How strong to we believe God is? It is easy to trust God when we see his mighty acts, but after a while, in the routine of daily life, his strength may appear to diminish. God doesnt change, but our view of him often does especially when we are going through hardships. Our everyday living makes us forget how powerful God can be. By remembering his past works and his present power, we can be sure that we are not cutting off his potential help. As Moses learned, God's strength is always available.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE, DON'T COMPLAIN!!!

Numbers 11:4-6 reads, "The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelite started wailing and said, "If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost--also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!"
Dissatisfaction comes when our attention shifts from what we don't have. The people of is real didn't seem to notice what God was doing for them - setting them free, making them a nation, giving them a new land - because they were so wrapped up in what God wasn't doing for them. They could think of nothing but the delicious Egyptian food they had left behind. Somehow they forgot that the brutal whip of Egyptian slavery was the cost of eating that food. Before we judge the isrealites too harshly, its helpful to think about what occupies our attention most of the time. Are we grateful for what God has given us, or are we always thinking about what we would like to have? We should not allow our unfulfilled desires to cause us to forget God's gifts of life, food, health, work, and friends.

COMPLIMENTING OTHERS IN SERVICE TO GOD BUILDS LASTING RELATIONSHIPS!!

Leviticus 10:29-32 reads, “Now Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, "We are setting out for the place about which the LORD said, 'I will give it to you.' Come with us and we will treat you well, for the LORD has promised good things to Israel." He answered, "No, I will not go; I am going back to my own land and my own people."But Moses said, "Please do not leave us. You know where we should camp in the desert, and you can be our eyes. If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the LORD gives us."

By complimenting Hobab’s wilderness skills, Moses let him know he was needed. People cannot know you appreciate them if you don’t tell them they are important to you. Complimenting those who deserve it builds lasting relationships and helps people know they are valued. Think about those who have helped you this month so far and last year. What can you do to let them know how much you need and appreciate them?

LIVING A LIFE ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD BRINGS ABOUT FULFILLMENT!

Acts 17:27-28 reads, “so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

God is in his creation and close to every one of us. But he is not trapped in his creation for he is transcendent. God is the creator not the creation. This means that God is sovereign and in control, while at the same time he is close and personal. A Christian life that is led according to God’s will is one that is fulfilled and attracts uncommon blessings from God. Don’t live life according to what you think but according to the leading power of the Holy Spirit. Let the creator of the universe rule your life.

BLESSING OF OTHERS THROUGH PRAYER SHOWS THAT THE LOVE OF GOD REFLECTS IN YOU

Numbers 6:24-26 reads, "“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”’

a blessing was one way of asking God's divine favor to rest upon others. the blessing in these verses helps us understand what a blessing was supposed to do. they convey hope THAT God would bless and protect them, smile on them, be gracious and compassionate, show his favor towards them, give peace. when you ask God to bless others, the blessing you offer will not only help the one receiving it, it will also demonstrate love, encourage others, and provide a model of caring for others.

THE POWER OF THE WORD BRINGS TRANSFORMATION!!

Acts 17:6 reads, "But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too."

The power of the word preached by the early apostles revolutionised lives and broke down social barriers, through open prison doors, caused people to care deeply for one another and stirred people to worship God. our world needs to be turned upside down, to be transformed. the good news doesn't merely improve programs and encourage good conduct. it dynamically transforms lives. Take courage and ask God how you can help spread the gospel throughout your world.

At Fulfulment life of Christ, our mandate is to spread the gospel to the nations and so every christian should take responsibility and win as many souls for Christ as possible

COURAGE IN SERVICE TO GOD ATTRACTS GOD'S UNCOMMON BLESSINGS!!

Acts 17:4-5 reads, "Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women. But other Jews were jealous; so they rounded up some bad characters from the marketplace, formed a mob and started a riot in the city. They rushed to Jason’s house in search of Paul and Silas in order to bring them out to the crowd."

Jason in this scripture we are told of how some Jews were not happy with Paul and Silas spreading the word and raided the house of Jason in search of them. Many times, Christians will find themselves in situations where they must practice boldness and courage as they are serving God. This once executed entails that one is devoted to only God Almighty and puts his ultimate trust in him.
Service to God may also bring bring troubles as people around don't want salvation and as a result might persecute those who are in service to God. Are you such a one? You may not receive much attention, in fact, you may only receive grief for your service to Christ. But God wants to use you. Lives will be changed because of your courage and faithfulness.

THE IMPACT OF HOLINESS DRIVES AWAY SIN!!

Acts 16:19 reads, "But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities."

After being delivered, the slave girl provided no use to her owners which caused panic and caused Paul and Silas to be arrested. When sin lurks around one with light, they obviously cant mix hence and sin cant co-exist. A true man of God can't fail to drive away sin because of the purity in his heart that he has. If one is anointed, it will be easier to drive out demons because he has God with him. One who is holy must also understand that persecutions may come to one who is holy because the devil will try to distabalise one's faith but we must believe that God is above all and is the true deliverer.

We must be aware of those that lack holiness for they are like the sons of sceva in Acts 19:14-16 who failed to deliver one from sin and was overpowered by it. In all our ways, let us practice holiness as this is key to driving out sin.
