Topic: MAKE SURE YOU ARE REALLY STANDING

"Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall." 1 Corinthians 10:12

Some people think they are standing when, in actual fact, they have fallen.

There is nothing more dangerous than falling and not knowing it. At least the person who knows they've fallen can cry out for help. But the one who has fallen and still believes they're standing has no urgency to rise, because in their own eyes, there's nothing to rise from.

This is why the Scripture doesn't say "let him that has fallen take heed." It says let him that thinks he stands take heed.

Maybe it's selfishness that has quietly crept in, and you call it self-love. Maybe it's compromise that has settled into your life, and you call it "balance" or "being relatable." Maybe it's coldness toward God that has set in, and you call it "just going through a busy season." Falling is not always dramatic. Sometimes it is a slow, comfortable drift from your commitment and steadfastness in Christ.

Peter warned: "...beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness" (2 Peter 3:17).

Take heed. Examine yourself. Paul told the Corinthians to do exactly that: "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves" (2 Corinthians 13:5). Ask yourself the honest questions. Is your walk with God better today than it was yesterday?

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your Word that inspires growth, discipline and spiritual strength in me. Amen.

Topic: ALL-ROUND PROSPERITY

“The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
3 John 1-2

It is God’s will for you, as it was for Gaius, that you should prosper and be in health as your soul prospers.

Understand that God did not create you for failure, lack, or mediocrity. He planned that you should prosper in everything, everyday and in everyway. He says to you, “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” (Jeremiah 29:11 GNT).

God doesn’t want you sick. He wants you sound and healthy. He wants you to always be in health. And if you are sick, He says to you, “…I am GOD your healer.” (Exodus 15:26 MSG). And He “… heals all… diseases.” (Psalm 103:3 GNT), including the one you have. And He is healing you right now. If you can check yourself, you will find that you are healed right now.

And most importantly, God wants your soul to prosper, that is, He wants you to grow spiritually, to be involved in His kingdom work, and to contribute meaningfully to the success of His Church and His soul-winning projects.

Anything contrary to God’s revealed will for your life must be rejected. Reject poverty, sickness, and spiritual stagnation. Reject them all!

PRAYER

It is God’s will for me to prosper, and be in health as my soul prospers. I say “yes” to God’s will. I choose to have this total experience the Gospel supplies—an experience for my whole spirit, soul, and body. Glory to God!

Topic: BE THE BEST AT WHAT YOU DO

"Observe people who are good at their work- skilled workers are always in demand and admired; they don't take a backseat to anyone" Proverbs 22:29 MSG

Become so good at what you do that others cannot do without you.

If you are not good at what you do you will soon be out of work and out of business. But if you become very good and skilled, you will become irreplaceable. You will always be in demand and admired, and no one will be to take your seat.

You can so work on yourself and on your ability to produce results that you are always number one. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God, who wants all His children to be the best at what they do.

A child of God should never adopt laziness and mediocrity as a way of life and performance. That’s misrepresenting our Father God who is both diligent and excellent.

God is in you. His life, wisdom and grace are all in you. You have everything you need to be best, so be the best always!

CONFESSION

I have an excellent spirit and I produce excellence in all I do. The Holy Spirit lives in me in His fullness, causing me to walk in perfection and righteousness, and to express the glory and divine virtues within me. I function with the wisdom of God, with an excellent mind, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Topic: SELF-WORSHIP

"Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly..." 1 Thessalonians 5:14

In the house of God, the unruly are those who refuse to be led by the word of God and by those God has set over them to lead them. God's word says we should warn them.

1 Samuel 15:23 says, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry..." Meaning if they are not obedient to their leaders, they are practicing witchcraft. And if they've been wisely rebuked over their rebellion and won't change, they have become stubborn.

One is stubborn when he insists on his own way in disregard of godly counsel, correction, and instruction. The Bible says that this is equivalent to idolatry.

Idolatry is idol worship. Anyone who is stubborn isn't worshipping the Lord - he is worshipping himself. Anyone who is not subject to the Lord's authority has made himself an authority. He has exalted his opinion above the word of God.

Peter warned: "Likewise, you who are younger and of lesser rank, be subject to the elders (the ministers and spiritual guides of the church)-[giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel]…For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful)-[and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but gives grace (favor, blessing) to the humble." (1 Peter 5:5 AMPC).

Therefore, humble yourself. Maintain the worship of God by yielding yourself to the authority of His Word and to the counsel of those He has set over you.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the revelation of your Word. I choose to submit myself wholly to your Lordship.

Topic: 5 THINGS SATAN DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32

There are many things Satan doesn't want you to know. Here are five of them, and why:

1. That you are not condemned anymore. He knows that as long as you feel condemned, you can't live an effective Christian life. Your faith won't work, and you won't walk in real freedom.

2. That you are a new creature. He knows that as long as you see yourself as a forgiven sinner rather than a new creation, he can treat you the same way he treats anyone outside of Christ.

3. That you are already blessed. He knows he can't make any curse work in your life unless he first convinces you that you're cursed.

4. That you already have victory over him. He knows he can never defeat you unless he can deceive you into believing you don't already have the victory.

5. That you can do all things. He knows you won't excel, prosper, or do well in life if you're unaware of the strength Christ supplies daily to your inner man. Awareness of that strength is what fuels the doing.

It is only the truth you know that makes you free. The truth you don't know is of no advantage to you. Know the truth, know freedom. Know the truth, know life.

CONFESSION

Ignorance is bo***ge. I refuse to be ignorant. Knowledge is freedom. I choose to know the truth of God’s Word and to live according to all that it says.

Topic: THE FEAR OF GOD VERSUS THE FEAR OF PEOPLE

"Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the LORD means safety.” Proverbs 29:25, NLT

People do what they know they shouldn't do (they sin, they misbehave, they make poor choices) simply because they are afraid of what people will say if they walk in the right path and do the right thing. Isn't that foolish and cowardly?

A wise person does what they ought to do irrespective of what anybody thinks or says about them. They walk out of wrong relationships, serve God unreservedly, and live right no matter who is or isn't watching.

"What will they think?" Why does their opinion matter so much? Did they create you? Did they die for you?

Let them think whatever they want to think. Let them say whatever they want to say. Fear God, not them. Do good. And be you.

The fear of what they will think is the beginning of bo***ge.

Reverence (fear) for what God thinks is the beginning of freedom.

He that fears men has many things to fear. He that fears God fears nothing else.

Those who fear men cannot fear God, and those who fear God cannot fear men. One fear cancels out the other. Choose your fear.

PRAYER

Precious Father, your Word is my life and my rock, the solid ground on which I stand. I fear only you. I do not fear anyone or anything else. Thus, I’m like a tree by the stream, prosperous and ever fruitful in wisdom, holiness and greatness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Topic: THE TWO ROADS TO ETERNITY

"...broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat... and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14

There are two roads that lead to eternity: one leads to eternal goodness and joy, the other leads to eternal perplexity and pain.

The first is the way of God. The second is the way of man. The first is the way of faith. The second is the way of the senses. The first is foolishness to those who are on their way to eternal destruction. The second is the power of God to those who believe.

Many are on the way to destruction. Few have chosen the road that leads to eternal bliss. Few have received Jesus as the Lord of their lives.

Will you join me in helping many find the way to life everlasting? There is only one way, and that is Jesus. And there is only one way to Jesus, and that's you and I - His body. Unless we lead them to the way, they will go on and be tormented forever.

Wherever you find yourself, always be aware of the fact that you are a signpost for the Way - lead men and women to Jesus for the salvation of their souls. Never be ashamed of the Gospel, for it is God's only saving power - there are no other ways for men to be saved.

PRAYER

Dear Father, your wisdom is manifested more and more in and through me. I am filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, always abounding in the work of leading many to the way of life everlasting.

Topic: THE SPIRIT OF REBELLION IS THE SPIRIT OF WITCHCRAFT

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry..." 1 Samuel 15:23

Any form of resistance or disobedience to the work, word, or instruction of God is as the sin of witchcraft.

There is a decree of death over those who practice witchcraft (Exodus 22:18). And if any rebellion against God is as the sin of witchcraft, rebellion leads one to death. That is why Proverbs 4:13 says, "Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life."

Many have brought stagnation, demotion, and death to different areas of their life, unaware, because of their rebellion. When their leader at church told them to do something according to the Word of God, they decided to do the opposite or refused to obey; what they didn't know is that they were practicing witchcraft.

Such witchcraft cuts you off slowly from the flow of favor, and from the wonderful things that make life beautiful, meaningful, and productive. This is why Hebrews 13:17 (TLB) says, "Obey your spiritual leaders and be willing to do what they say... Give them reason to report joyfully about you to the Lord and not with sorrow, for then you will suffer for it too."

Always endeavor to live a life of humility before God. Obey those who have rule over you and submit yourself, and God will shower you with more grace and promote your life in due time.

CONFESSION

Now I’ve received, not the spirit of the rebellion, but the Spirit which is of God that I may walk in humility and obedience. My life is Spirit-ruled and Spirit-controlled; I’m always under the sway and influence of the Spirit of God. Hallelujah!

Topic: UNSELFISH FAITH IS THE FAITH THAT SETTLES THINGS

“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.” Galatians 5:6

In Christ Jesus, nothing matters more than the kind of faith that is inspired, powered, and governed by the love of God.
It doesn't matter that you are a great giver in the house of God, if you don't love the brethren, your giving is of no advantage to you.

It doesn't matter that you work very hard and serve very diligently; without love, your works are empty.

You may pray and fast, you may do whatever faith requires you to do, but without love, your faith is all in vain.

How one can be unforgiving and hope to see their faith work is a great mystery to me.

How someone can expect to receive a miracle even when the reason for it is to make someone else envious or jealous of them is something I don't get.

James noticed the same among the brethren of his day. He wrote to them: "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." (James 4:3). He was, in essence, telling them that faith that is tainted with selfishness doesn't work.

If you wants to see your faith work, you need to seriously walk in love toward all men.

CONFESSION

Dear Father, Your love is fully expressed in me. I walk in humility, meekness and love toward others. Arrogance has no place in my spirit, for the beauty of Christ is seen and heard in my words, thoughts and actions, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Topic: BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE COMPANY YOU KEEP

"He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." Proverbs 13:20

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.

It is not hard to predict your future: show me your friends, and I will show you your future.

If you want to be wise, walk with the wise. If you want to be studious, walk with the studious. If you want to do great things in life, walk with those who are already doing great things... The fastest way to become the person you want to be is to spend time with people who already are what you want to become.

A person who walks with prayerful friends (even if he isn't prayerful himself) will become prayerful. But a prayerful person who walks with prayerless friends will become prayerless.

If you spend time only with people who are where you already are, you won't grow.

If you spend time with people who are what you don't want to become, you will eventually end up like them.

If you hang around five confident people, you will be the sixth.

If you hang around five negative people, you will be the sixth.

Hang around people you would want to be like.

CONFESSION

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the correction and guidance I receive from your Word. By the help of your Spirit, I identify any association that could impede my growth in the things of the Spirit, and I thank you for granting me the courage and confidence to eliminate them, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
