Impact story

Thank you, Florence, for your wonderful words. At DBTZ, we will continue to work hard to make sure the Bible translation is available in Zambian Sign Language (ZSL) for the Deaf community. Sign language Bible translation is important because it gives Deaf people direct access to God’s Word in their own heart language, helping them understand, connect deeply with Scripture, and grow in faith. It promotes inclusion, equality, and the spread of the Gospel within the Deaf community.

Good news! The Book of Jonah is now on the Deaf Bible app in sign language. Let’s share God’s Word with the Deaf community!

From Jonah we learn that God is loving, patient, and gives second chances. We should obey God and follow His call, and also care for others because God’s mercy is for everyone.

🎥 Impact Story from the Deaf Community

Mwewa shared how important Sign Language Bible Translation is for Deaf people, just like the Bible in spoken languages is important for hearing people. He gave an example of the Bemba language Bible, explaining that hearing people can easily understand God’s Word in their own language, and Deaf people also deserve the same access through Sign Language.

He also shared that the Deaf Bible App can greatly help Deaf pastors in church. Instead of only using written English Bibles, churches can display the Sign Language Bible on a screen for Deaf members to watch, while the pastor explains and preaches from it. This can help Deaf people understand the message more clearly and naturally in Sign Language. 🙌

The Deaf Bible App is helping many Deaf people understand the Word of God clearly and naturally in their heart language — Sign Language.

Hearing testimonies like this really impresses and encourages us as DBTZ to continue working hard and improving every day so that more Deaf people can access God’s Word in Sign Language. ❤️

Thank you to the Deaf community for continuing to support and encourage this ministry. Together, we are making God’s Word accessible to all.

DBTZ is currently working on the Book of Jonah!

As we translate Jonah into sign language, we are reminded of many powerful lessons from this book:

🔹 We cannot run away from God’s calling.
🔹 God is merciful and gives second chances.
🔹 Obedience is better than disobedience.
🔹 Prayer can change situations.
🔹 God loves all people and wants everyone to repent.

Please continue to support and pray for DBTZ as we work to make God’s Word accessible to the Deaf community in Zambia. 🙏🤟📖
