Even bad things happen to Christians

A Christian can lose a job, get sick, go through a divorce, lose a contract, face rejection, or experience seasons of lack. Following Christ does not exempt us from the realities of life. Our advantage is not the absence of battles but the presence of God in every battle. We have the assurance that we are never alone and that God is able to work all things together for our good. If our relationship with God is centered only on what He can do for us and not on who He is, we will always be disappointed when certain prayers seem unanswered or when some doors do not open in our favor. God is not only worthy of worship when He blesses us materially; He is worthy because of who He is.

Material blessings are important, but they are not the foundation of our faith. Christ Himself is the foundation. The greatest gift God gave us was not money, houses, cars, jobs, or opportunities, it was salvation through Jesus Christ. A healthy Christian life seeks both spiritual growth and responsible living. We pray for provision, work diligently, pursue opportunities, and trust God with the results. Faith is not laziness, and hard work is not a lack of faith. The absence of material blessings should not make us feel abandoned by God. Sometimes God provides immediately, sometimes He develops our character through the waiting process, and sometimes He redirects us toward something better than what we expected.
Every challenge reveals something. It may reveal God's power, His faithfulness, His grace, His wisdom, or areas in our lives that still need growth. Trials are not always signs of God's absence; many times they become platforms for God's glory.

Lack can create a desire for more, but that desire should ultimately draw us closer to God. The greatest need of every human being is not material possession but a deeper relationship with the One who gives both spiritual and physical blessings. A mature believer thanks God in abundance, trusts Him in scarcity, obeys Him in uncertainty, and worships Him in every season.
God is not good because life is easy. God is good because His character never changes, regardless of our circumstances.

If you kneel before God, you can stand before men.
One of the most powerful moments in the life of David was at Ziklag. Everything around him had fallen apart. The city had been burned with fire, their wives and children were taken captive, and even the very men who once stood with him spoke of stoning him. David had every reason to give up, break down, or lose faith. But the Bible says: “David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6) Before David stood before kings, armies, and nations, he first learned how to kneel before God in brokenness, pain, and uncertainty. His strength was not in his title, his experience, or the people around him, it was in his relationship with God.
Many people want public victory, but few are willing to seek God privately. The strength to stand before men is born in the secret place of prayer. Ziklag teaches us that when life strips everything away, God remains enough. There are battles you cannot win with intelligence, connections, or human strength alone. Some victories only come when a man learns to kneel before God. If David had not encouraged himself in the Lord, he would have died in discouragement. But because he turned to God, he recovered everything he had lost.
Maybe you are in your own “Ziklag season” right now, discouraged, misunderstood, rejected, or fighting silent battles. Don’t run from God. Kneel before Him. Pray until strength returns. Worship until hope rises again. Those who know how to bow before God will never bow before pressure. Kneeling before God is not weakness; it is the secret place where giants are defeated and destinies are restored.

You go visit boo on Saturday;

You beg for mercy when you get back home that night.

You raise holy hands on sunday morning;

Visit boo again in the evening;

Ask for mercy again in your devotion that night.

You stay virtuous, refreshed, so full of mercy and grace. Enjoying God's presence..

Monday.

Tuesday.

At Wednesday's midweek service it's you and God alone in pure worship; hands up, arms open wide as the sky, lifting His name higher higher everywhere, the devil cannot come close to you that moment, he cannot even dare. He is just standing very far looking at you like "hmmm 😕😕😒, all this activity, don't worry i know where to catch you."

Thursday you're still fresh with the spirit, you feel that unmoveable joy of the Holy Ghost on the inside that fills you up and makes you feel so powerful.

Friday you go for rehearsals or cell meeting, still high on the Holy Ghost, leading prayers speaking in tongues everywhere, everyone can feel you basking in holiness, ahh all things are possible

Then Saturday comes again, hmmm, you visit boo as usual, this time no, I will be strong, no kissing, no touching, no romance, i won't even allow the closeness, I PROMISE!

30minutes after you plug your phone to charge... wuuuu! Haaaaa! Hoooo! Arrhhhh! Vooooooom!

All the graces you have gathered throughout the week, all the tongues you have ministered in the spirit, all the refilling and refreshing, all the mercy, vooooooooom! You drop it under the bedsheets in sweet passionate romance, you pick up your pants and go back home empty.

The devil rolls on the floor in laughter like "just look at you now, look at this one that was forming activity for me, Holy Ghost filled somebody, mtchewwww, I wasn't shakened a bit because I know you have an altar where you come and lay down all your holiness, I wasn't bothered at all, even when you had to make me wait for two weeks because you were hesitating to come here, i still knew you would come around, now look at you."

😔😔 this happens in the lives of believers every day, we keep struggling between satisfying our passion and sustaining our devotion, we keep fighting to keep them both, making compromises in the process, and promises we never get to keep.

What is even more hurting is the fact that God knew you were going to end up back there, He was just hoping that the last time you cried for forgiveness you would do all you can to earn His mercy 😞😞😞. But you always end up going back to the altar of lust to disappoint Him.

📌Stop visiting his house if you will end up on your knees asking for mercy again.

📌Stop her from coming over if her visit will drain you of all your virtue and grace.

📌Cut off from that friends-with-benefits if it is taking you farther away from God, than closer towards Him.

📌In order for it to be impossible for your marital marriage to fail, you have to make it impossible for the devil to win.
