JESUS ENCOUNTER FAMILY CHURCH AT FIVE (5)

The vision began at Chelston Market, then transitioned to a sitting room in a nearby house, later moved to Mtendere East, and finally became a platform where men and women could truly encounter God in 2021.

Today, Jesus Encounter Family Church turns 5 years, and my heart is filled with deep gratitude as I reflect on the many things the Lord has done for us, through us, and among the people who have encountered God through this ministry.

This day reminds me of how faithful God is to those who obey His will. The day He commanded us to serve Him, He sent us with these words: “Go and let people encounter Me.”

As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, filled with gratitude, reflection, and prayer, I would like to sincerely thank all our members and partners who have stood with us in various ways. Your prayers, support, and commitment have greatly contributed to where the Lord has brought us.
Let us continue serving the Lord faithfully, and as our slogan declares: “Let’s grow together.”

As a church we step boldly into 2026, the year the Lord has declared for us to ARISE & SHINE. This is not a season of hiding, delay, or limitation. This is a season to POSSESS, DOMINATE & OVERTAKE. Get ready for the shift coming your way.

Beloved, the glory of God has risen upon you.
What once limited you will no longer define you. Where you were delayed, you will advance.
Where you were overlooked, you will shine.

Prepare your faith. Align your life. Step forward in confidence in the year of the lord.

PASTORAL LETTER 31.12.2025

Greetings, beloved brethren,

Grace and peace to you and your families.

As we pause to reflect on the year 2025, our hearts are filled with gratitude as we look back at the journey we have walked together both as individuals and as a church. Truly, this year has been a testament to God’s faithfulness.

At the beginning of the year, we prophetically declared 2025 as “The year of the Lord’s Doing.” As we reflect now, we cannot deny the evidence of His hand among us. The Lord has moved mightily through miracles, deliverance, restoration, and even through situations that stretched us, challenged us, and exposed us to a deeper level of wisdom He desired us to attain. In every circumstance, God was shaping us for His purpose.

Some lessons came wrapped in joy, others in silence, and some through trials but all were ordained to prepare us for greater glory. Indeed, this has been God’s way of doing things, and we give Him all the praise.

As we look back, let us acknowledge what the Lord has done thus far. And as we look forward, let us hold firmly onto faith and hope for what lies ahead. As we step into 2026, let us realign our hearts to what truly matters—our relationship with God and our relationships with one another.

Let us be intentional in love, steadfast in faith, and committed to walking in unity. Hold dear what matters most. Enter the new year with assurance and confidence: God is not finished with you. Your story is not designed to end in defeat. You shall triumph. You shall overcome. You will win battles you never imagined you could win by the grace and power of God.

As a church, our best days are still ahead.

On behalf of my family and the leadership, we wish you all a joyful, prosperous, and purpose-filled 2026. May the Lord go before you, walk with you, and establish the work of your hands.

APPOINTMENT OF ASSISTANT PASTOR

It is with great joy and honor that we announce the appointment of Pastor Alpha Banda as an Assistant Pastor at Jesus Encounter Family Church (JEFC).

After prayerfully seeking the Lord’s guidance, we are delighted to welcome Pastor Alpha to the pastoral team of our church. His commitment, spiritual maturity, and heart for God’s work have made him a valuable member of our ministry.

Pastor Alpha has been an active member of JEFC for over three years, during which time he has faithfully led the Prayer Band and served in the Ministry of Helps. His dedication to nurturing and serving God’s people has been evident in all he does.

With his passion for ministry and a Diploma in Theology, which fulfills one of the key requirements for pastoral leadership in our church, Pastor Alpha is now fully equipped and ready to shepherd God’s people and advance His kingdom.

We celebrate this significant step in Pastor Alpha’s journey and encourage him to continue heeding the call and fulfilling the ministry the Lord has entrusted to him.

Congratulations, Man of God! May the Lord continue to guide and empower you in this new season of service.
