Sunday Review by Apostle Chimfwembe
Theme: How to Fulfill the Great Commission
Main Scriptures: Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:16–20; John 3:16; John 20:21
Apostle Chimfwembe taught on how to fulfill the Great Commission, beginning with God's original purpose for humanity.
1. The Purpose of Man — Dominion
Genesis 1:26
The reason God created man was to give him dominion. Humanity was created with a divine purpose and responsibility to exercise authority and represent God's will on the earth.
To understand the Great Commission, we must therefore understand the mission of God.
2. Understanding the Mission of God
Matthew 28:16–20
The Great Commission can only be properly understood by first understanding God's mission. God's plan and mission have always been to redeem humanity from sin and restore mankind to Himself.
Mission is at the heart of God.
Jesus demonstrated this when He said:
“As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” — John 20:21
The word “commission” carries the idea of being sent with authority and responsibility. The prefix “co-” conveys the idea of going together or going alongside. Therefore, the Great Commission is not a mission we accomplish independently; we go as those who have been sent by God and who work in partnership with Him.
The 4 Ps of the Great Commission
1. The Great Commission Is the Greatest Plan
The greatest plan is the plan of salvation.
For God to accomplish His purpose of redeeming humanity, the Godhead—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit—was involved in the work of salvation.
John 3:16 reveals the depth of God's plan:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…”
Sin creates separation between man and God. It also brings pollution, corrupting the life and nature of man, and it imprisons the believer when its power is allowed to dominate.
The Gospel therefore announces God's greatest plan: the salvation and restoration of humanity through Jesus Christ.
2. The Great Commission Is About the Greatest Person
The greatest person in the Great Commission is Jesus Christ.
Jesus came to execute the plan of God for the redemption of humanity. He is the centre and message of the Gospel.
The Great Commission is therefore not primarily about a programme, denomination, church, or individual. It is about Jesus Christ, the One whom God sent to save humanity.
3. The Great Commission Involves the Greatest Power
The work of the Great Commission cannot be accomplished merely through human ability. It requires divine power.
God has entrusted people with the responsibility of carrying His message, and His power works through those who are willing to be used by Him.
4. The Great Commission Carries the Greatest Promise
God has promised to be with His people as they fulfill the Great Commission.
Jesus assured His disciples that He would be with them continually as they went into the world to make disciples.
This means that we do not fulfill the Great Commission alone. God's presence accompanies those whom He sends.
Why Should We Be Devoted to the Great Commission?
1. Because Jesus Commanded Us to Go
Jesus gave His followers a direct command to go and make disciples.
The Great Commission is therefore not merely a suggestion or an optional activity for a few Christians. It is a responsibility given to every believer.
Apostle Chimfwembe emphasized that if we refuse to go willingly, circumstances such as persecution may eventually force us to move.
2. Because People Are Lost Without Jesus
People are lost without Christ.
Families, communities, and nations need the Gospel. The Great Commission is therefore a matter of eternal significance because people need to hear about Jesus and receive the salvation He offers.
3. Because the Holy Spirit Has Created a Hunger for God
The Holy Spirit is at work in the hearts of people, creating a hunger and desire for God.
There are people searching for truth, purpose, hope, and salvation. The Church must therefore be ready to respond to that spiritual hunger by proclaiming the Gospel.
4. Because There Is an Urgency to Preach the Gospel
There is an urgency attached to the Great Commission.
The Gospel must be preached because humanity needs to hear the message of salvation. We cannot continue postponing the responsibility of reaching people with the Gospel.
The Great Commission calls every believer to recognize that the time to go, preach, make disciples, and represent Christ is now.
Conclusion
The Great Commission is rooted in the heart of God. It is God's greatest plan of salvation, centred on the greatest Person—Jesus Christ—empowered by the greatest power, and accompanied by the greatest promise: God's presence with those He sends.
The question is therefore not whether the Great Commission belongs to us, but whether we are willing to participate in God's mission.
We have been sent. We have been empowered. We have been promised God's presence. Now, we must go.

Thursday Tidbit by Dr. Rev. Mark Kalonji
May the Lord bless you with the strength of His presence this morning.
Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
I pray that divine help, which is the supernatural assistance that comes directly from God, will be released upon your life today, in Jesus’ name.
Divine help is beyond human ability, beyond connections, and beyond resources.
When God says, “I will help you,” He is assuring us that His strength will carry us where our own strength fails.
This morning, by the grace of divine help, may God step into your situation and do what no man can do, in Jesus’ name.
Life often presents challenges that seem impossible, but as believers, we have a covenant advantage: God’s help.
May everything that seems impossible in your life become achievable, in Jesus’ name.
Have a fruitful and favourable Thursday!

SUNDAY SERVICE REVIEW
By Dr. Rev. Mark Kalonji
In the eighth month, the Word of God came to Zechariah. This reminds us that God speaks in appointed times and seasons to release His Word and bring His purposes to pass.
Prayer: Father, arise today and connect me to my divine visitation—the visitation that will change my life.
When your season comes, God operates through open doors that bring revelation, restoration, new beginnings, and divine alignment with His purpose for your life.
May God realign you with His purpose.
God is opening doors to usher your life into a new beginning. You shall look at yourself differently because God is giving you a fresh start. What seemed impossible in your previous season will become possible in the season God is bringing you into.
The Keys to Open Doors
Isaiah 22:22
“When He opens, no one can shut.”
The keys to the house of David represent authority, access, and divine opportunity. God is placing keys into your hands—keys to restoration, revelation, promotion, and your next level.
Receive the keys to your restoration.
Receive the keys to revelation.
Receive the keys to promotion.
Receive the keys to your next level.
The keys to your tomorrow are in the hands of Jesus Christ.
The keys to your divine destiny are not controlled by people, circumstances, or systems. They are in the hands of Jesus Christ.
Entering Through the Open Door
Psalm 24:7
When doors open, it means that God's power and presence are being revealed in a new dimension. Therefore, you shall not fail, because the God who opens the door is the same God who gives you the grace to walk through it.
This month remains your month of supernatural access.
God will reveal His supernatural ability to grant you access, favour, breakthrough, and opportunities that go beyond human effort.
There are seasons when God causes doors to open that human strength could never open. There are opportunities that cannot be manufactured by connections, money, or influence. When God opens a door, His grace gives you access to what your ability alone could not obtain.
The Responsibility of an Open Door
When it is the season of open doors, Scripture shows us that an open door is more than an opportunity—it is a divine invitation into a new season of God's purpose and blessing.
However, an open door requires a response. To walk successfully through what God has opened, there are three essential things:
1. Discernment
You must be able to recognise what God is doing. Not every opportunity is a divine opportunity, and not every open door is necessarily God's door. Discernment enables you to distinguish between what God has opened and what merely appears attractive.
2. Faith
Once you recognise the door God has opened, you must have the courage to walk through it. Faith trusts God's Word even when the new season is unfamiliar.
3. Obedience
An open door is useless if you refuse to walk through it. Obedience turns divine instruction into practical movement. God may open the door, but you must be willing to take the step.
Therefore, discern the door, believe God for what is beyond it, and obey the instruction that leads you through it.
May this month be a season of supernatural access, divine alignment, restoration, revelation, promotion, and new beginnings.
May God open the doors that no man can shut, place the right keys in your hands, and give you the grace to walk confidently into the destiny He has prepared for you.
