KASHEMBE CHURCH BUILDING DEDICATED

Established in 1946, Kashembe Church began through the missionary work of District Elder, later Apostle, Kaputengi Njamba, with only five members who gathered in a home for Divine Services.

As membership increased, a temporary structure was constructed, where Apostle James Fernandes conducted the first Sealing Service, during which 100 members were sealed.

With continued growth in membership, the need for a larger church building became inevitable. Construction of the modern church building officially commenced in 2008, culminating in its completion and dedication this morning by District Apostle Kububa Soko.

During the special Divine Service, the District Apostle read from Psalm 73:23–24, anchored on the message, “God holds you, He guides you and He accepts you".

The District Apostle based his sermon on the experience of Asaph, David’s chief musician, who struggled with seeing the wicked prosper while those who served God faced difficulties.

The District Apostle said that, like Asaph, believers may also face moments of difficulty and uncertainty, but encouraged them to:

1. Go into the sanctuary, the house of God, where He will hold them by their right hand.
2. Trust God, knowing that He will provide counsel and guidance.
3. Speak to God at all times through prayer.

The District Apostle concluded by calling on members to remain prayerful and to seek God in everything they do.

CALL UPS:

The following Apostles were called up during the Divine Service:

1. Apostle Christopher Kaluma of Kalomo.
