Golden rules.

1. Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.

3. Be a ministry to other people.👬🏿

4. Give more and receive less. 👠👚👗🥾🧦

5. Do not be self centered. 🕵🏿‍♂️

6. Being kind, gentle, loving, caring and helpful to all.👭🏾😉

Theme: GROWTH🤰🏾👼🏾🧍🏾.
Growth is basically an increase in number, size, value and strength.

TWO TYPES OF GROWTH.
1. Spiritual growth
2 Physical growth

N.B👉🏿We are focusing on Spiritual grouth.

1 peter 2:2...
The scripture is self explanatory.

God desires us to grow in Godly things.

He wants us to know more about Him.

Plants do not grow under their own care, anxiety or effort.
They grow by receiving that which God has furnished to minister to their lives.

Plants and flowers grow by receiving from the surroundings that minister to their lives.

Factors needed for plants and flowers to grow are: sunshine, air, food e.t.c. (given examples to show the importance of growth in our lives)

As believers, there are things that we need to apply to sustain our spiritual lives.

THREE KEY POINTS THAT WILL MAKE US GROW SPIRITUALLY.

1. The word of GOD: Psalms 1:1-3... When you contemplate( same as meditate / to look thoughtfully for a long time at something) on the word of God, grace comes spontaneously (adverb: meaning "Not planned")

Man is a product of the word, God created him with the word of His mouth.

N.B.👉🏿Difference between CREATION and FORMATION.

In Genesis 1:26.. God said, "let us create man in our own likeness I.e by the word

In Genesis 2:7 says and God formed man the from the dust of the earth/ground.

Therefore, God CREATED man in His likeness and FORMED him in the form of a human being. ✔️ 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿spontenious applause sir)

For man to grow spiritually he/she needs to go to the source.. the WORD. (🏃🏿‍♂️am out.. Too deep right here.👏🏿👏🏿...)

As you meditate on the word of God, you are feeding the spirit and growth begins to transpire(means: "to be revealed) naturally.

The word of God gives you knowledge about God and gives you awareness of what is right and wrong.

The word of God is Cardinal( "important") in spiritual growth.

2. PRAYER: Is the opening up of your heart to God - it is fellowship with God.

Today's sharing will be on DEALING WITH TEMPTATION.

TEMPTATION
In the biblical sense; is a situation in which one experiences a challenge to choose between fidelity and infidelity to one's obligations toward God.
Everyone deals with temptation (1corinthians 10:12-13)

Even Jesus himself was not immune to devil's trials (Mathew 4:3-11).

Temptation is not sin, but if we yield to the temptation then we fall into sin.

The process of temptation and sin is taught in James 1:13-15. It says that temptation does not come from God.

Temptation comes when we are drawn away by our own lusts.

This means that each person will be tempted in different times.

What is not a struggle for me can be a cause of sin to someone else.

Therefore, we should be sensitive and not to participate in activities that could cause others to sin.
When the lust has been allowed to mature it brings sin and intimately death.
We don't have to be slaves to temptation of the devil.

By focusing our lives and minds around the word of God, we will be better equipped to fight the battle with temptation.

"How strong is our relationship with God"

Relationship: defined as; The way in which two/more people/things are connected.

Or A state of being connected.

Deuteronomy 31v6

The most important relationship in life is our relationship with God -
He is the very reason why we exist.

A connection between a person and his/her phone is also a certain type of relationship.

We meet lots of nice people, but the fact that nothing terrible or challenging has happened to our connection doesn't qualify them to be nice people..

🤓A strong relationship is determined by how many challenges or bad times it faces..

How you are going to react to a challenge in a relationship will determine how genuine you are to the relationship.

Sometimes God can try to see how strong the relationship you have with him is..

Ans: Mostly, we are fond of just receiving good things from God. Thing is, its not every time that we ought to receive from God.

The blessings of God are not always in what he gives. They are also in what he takes away..

Do you know that?

😓Every individual has at some point or currently felt so low that he/she begins to ask questions like "
why me?
why did I loose my job?..
Why did I loose my parents?

- The questions keep troubling our minds..

Have you ever realised that the end of something might be the begin of a new journey?

Has it ever crossed your mind that as something begins to loose direction or move out of shape is the very moment something brand new begins to grow?

Our faith is made strong in times of difficulty.

How strong you stand when tragedy strikes proves how strong your relationship with God is..

😃The stronger the relationship with God is, the more access it has to Gods blessings..

Every Relationship has its own blessings..

👏🏿Think of this.. We do not offer the same kind of communication to all the people we are connected to.

A foolish person is one who is unwise or lacking wise.
IDENTIFICATIONS OF A FOOLISH PERSON:
- Anyone who likes playing with sin, is a fool (Proverbs 10:22).
- A fool is a friend of a fool (Proverbs 13:20).
- Anyone who finds pleasure in evil,is a fool (Proverbs 13:9).
- Anyone who says there's no God,is a fool (Psalm 14:1).
- Anyone who is quick tempered,is a fool (Proverbs 1:9,23:9 &15:34).
- Anyone who despises knowledge,is a fool (Proverbs 12:16 & 29:11).
- Anyone who wants to save two masters,is a fool (Luke 16:13 & Proverbs 1:22).
- Anyone who knows the right thing but doesn't do it,is a fool(Proverbs 10:3).
- Anyone who makes a same mistake or returns to her/his vomit,is a fool (prov6:32 & 7:7-10).
NOTE:All of us are foolish at times, and we're capable of becoming foolish. As a result,God is wisdom and the source of all wisdom in this Earth.If we trust,obey and surrender our sins He will forgive and make us wise.

WORSHIPING GOD.

1. What is worship?
2. Who should worship God
3. Why should we worship God?

1. What is worship?

Answer: (From Greek Origin) means to bow down/an act of obedience shown by deep bowing.

Also means: Honour, Reverence and Homage paid to superior beings or powers.

The word worship also means worthiness.

It is also an acknowledgement of divine perfections.

The Word worship also predisposes( lays/leaves open) that God can be known by man and that his perfections are far above man's.

Also means to serve.. E.g serving an usher in church.

2. Who should worship God?

Answer: Everyone on earth should worship God.

Worshiping God must be a priority in our lives.

3. Why should we worship God?

Answer: Because he is the creator and giver of all that we have.

Worship should be our lifestyle.
Because the Lord is good.

Because of his faithfulness

Because we are his children.

3. How should we worship God.

Answer: We should worship God with Gladness and praise.

Your attitude as you worship should be full of joy and gratitude.

Worshiping God should make us know God personally.

Know one can worship on our behalf. Its personally between me and God..

Worshiping God helps us express our insufficience before God.

JUDGE NOT.

Definition: The ability to make considered decisions or coming to sensible conclusions.

Anything that comes from God always prevails

Weapons are made for both defence and destruction.

The weapons may sometimes be words and wishes from ourselves or from other people.

Isaiah 54 v17..
Examples of weapons: sicknesses, curses, life situations e.t.c

But none of the above will prosper.. Its only that which comes from God that prospers..

Sometimes people give up because they do not have better options that they can use to change their situations.

What we pass through, other people pass through.. So as children of God, we do not need to judge.. We need to solve problems..

One who does not want to see you progress is an Enemy.

David had the form of a young boy but nobody knew what he was carrying.

David had courage because he knew what his God was capable of doing.

Only those who have felt your pain will be able to understand your pain. Those are the only people who you must relate your pain to..

Sometimes even our very friends can't understand our situations. They may not see things the way we them..

Therefore no one must judge..

Character makes one to be more attractive..

The Grace of God makes you even more attractive and recognizable by people.

Make use of Christianity..

The decision that we make do not only affect us alone but our children and our future generations.

God is advising us to choose life.. It is the decision that God wants us to make

Making a right decision results to negativity - making a wrong is vice versa

What I decide to do today determines what I will be tomorrow ..

Our minds play a major role in decision making..

Success begins in the brain..

God must always be involved.
