THEME: The Devil Fights You Because of the Potential You Carry
Proof Text:John 10:10
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
-One of the greatest mistakes believers make is thinking that every battle is proof of failure Not Knowing the Purpose of the battle is connected to the greatness Of God He Has Placed inside Them.
-The enemy does not waste his resources on people who are not a threat to his kingdom.
-He attacks potential, purpose,destiny,and divine assignments.
-Your warfare is often evidence that Heaven has invested something valuable in you.
1.The Enemy Attacks What He Fears
(Exodus 1:15-16)
-The attack was against destiny, not A Person.
-Sometimes the enemy sees your future before you do.
2.Great Potential Attracts Great Opposition
(Matthew 2:16)
-When Jesus was born, King Herod ordered the killing of young children.
WHY:
-Because a King had been born.
-The attack was not against a baby; it was against the future Savior of humanity.
-The greater the assignment, the greater the opposition.
3.The Enemy Attacks Through Discouragement
(Nehemiah 4:1-8)
-When Nehemiah started rebuilding Jerusalem's walls, opposition immediately arose.
COMMON WEAPONS OF THE ENEMY:
1.Criticism
2.Mockery
3.Fear
4.Discouragement
5.Delays
The enemy wants you to quit before you become what God has called you to be.
4.The Enemy Targets Your Mind
(2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
-Before he attacks your future, he attacks your thinking.
COMMON LIES OF THE DEVIL:
1.You will never succeed.
2.You are not called.
3.God has forgotten you.
4.You are too weak.
-Every stronghold begins as a thought that is accepted
