Last Sunday, Pastor Aldridge Mutembo preached “The Abounding Grace of God” from Luke 15:11–32, the parable of the lost son. The message showed how living away from God leads to sin, misuse of His gifts, and loss of identity. Yet God doesn’t revoke the gifts He’s given us. The prodigal son’s turning point was repentance: recognizing his state, humbling himself, and returning to the Father.

Luke 15:20–24 reveals God’s unconditional love and restoration. The robe represents righteousness, the ring shows belonging and authority, the sandals signify sonship, and the feast reflects heaven’s joy over one repentant sinner. We were also cautioned against self-righteousness through the elder son’s example. Whether we’re far like the prodigal or prideful like the elder brother, God’s grace is still available for restoration.

🌸 Women’s Sunday + Young Ladies Checkin Highlights 🌸

Our Mother’s Day celebration was nothing short of inspiring. Pst. Maiwase Mwandu brought a timely word on “A Pattern to Follow” (John 19:28–30), reminding us that Jesus’ final words, "It is finished," are our guarantee of victory.

Key Takeaways:
- God is a Finisher: Scripture shows He is entirely intentional about completing what He begins in us.

- Stay the Course: We are encouraged to remain focused, stay persuaded by the Word, and press on to finish our assignments well.

- Endurance brings Honor:God is faithful to those who see things through.

The day concluded with a Young Ladies Check-In session - a sweet time of connection, reflection, and sisterhood. 💖

We had a wonderful Sunday service as Rev. Charles Mwandu taught on “The Power of Understanding” under the theme “The Process of Understanding.” We were reminded that true fruitfulness comes not just from hearing the Word, but from understanding and applying it correctly (Matthew 13:3–23). A powerful takeaway from the message was: What you do not understand, you cannot properly apply, and what you apply correctly produces fruit.

Last week’s message, “Church Metrics: What Are We Really Building?”, challenged us to rethink how we define success in ministry. While data and metrics such as attendance, giving, and participation are useful for measuring growth, they are not the ultimate goal.

In the sermon, Solomon Mwandu emphasized that true transformation begins in the heart, drawing from the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13) to show that the condition of our hearts determines the impact of God’s Word in our lives.

We were reminded that many believers fall into the “among the thorns” category, where the Word is choked by life’s pressures, the pursuit of wealth, and the desire for validation. As a result, hearts are growing dull, limiting the ability to see the broken world and hear its cries through God’s perspective.

The call was to return to Romans 12:1–2, refusing to conform to the patterns of the world, and instead prioritize God’s Kingdom above all else (Matthew 6:33). The message challenged us to reflect: Are we building metrics and physical structures, or are we becoming disciples of Christ?

True ministry success is not measured by rising church metrics alone, but by transformed lives, obedient hearts, and a commitment to the Great Commission.

During our Sunday service, Rev. Charles Mwandu continued the teaching on “Partnering with God: Victory is Assured,” focusing on the role of time and preparation.

Drawing from Daniel 2:21, we were reminded that God controls times and seasons, and our victory is tied to aligning with His timing. The message emphasized intentional growth, wise decisions especially in relationships and surrounding ourselves with people who motivate us to do better.

Through scriptures such as Genesis 18:10–14, Galatians 4:4, and Ephesians 5:15–16, we learned that God works according to appointed times, and we must be spiritually alert to recognize and maximize our seasons. We were reminded that life is purposeful, time is limited, and true victory comes from partnering with God and aligning with His perfect timing.

Proverbs 21:31 (NKJV)
“The horse is prepared for the day of battle,
But deliverance is of the Lord.”

We had a powerful Sunday service as Reverend Charles Mwandu ministered on “Partnering with God: Victory Is Assured,” anchored on Proverbs 21:31. We were reminded that while preparation brings order and positions us for success, true victory comes from the Lord. Through various scriptures, we learned that intentional preparation (spiritually, mentally, and physically) raises standards, removes limitations, and aligns us for God’s move.

Just as David overcame Goliath (1 Samuel 17:45–50), victory is not by human strength but by God’s power working through us. The message emphasized that God uses what we already have, and when we partner with Him, He multiplies it and brings increase. Our responsibility is to prepare and align, while God’s role is to give the victory. When we partner with God and prepare diligently, victory is not a possibility, but is assured.

We had an amazing Sunday service where Pst Aldridge Mutembo preached a powerful message on “The Role of God and the Role of Man.” He reminded us that understanding our roles and responsibilities is essential to fulfilling God’s purpose on earth. Drawing from Psalm 115:15–16, he taught that humanity has been given dominion and stewardship over the earth, working alongside God in His creation.

Pst Mutembo highlighted God’s roles as Creator (Genesis 1:1), Sustainer (Psalm 28:1), and Sovereign Ruler, explaining that nothing exists or continues without His power. He emphasized that God holds humanity accountable for how we manage what He has entrusted to us, and that each person will ultimately give an account of their life.

On the role of man, he taught that we are called to reflect God’s character, live in obedience, and serve as faithful stewards in our communities, workplaces, and homes. Work, he explained, is not just productivity but worship, because our mandate is to glorify God in all we do (Matthew 5:16).

He concluded by urging the church to stay aligned with God’s will, spread His message (Mark 16:15), and live purposefully as representatives of His kingdom here on earth.

The 2026 Youth Sunday in the words of a Gen-Z, can be described as a "Salt Sana" experience 🤏🏼😅. It was filled with dancing, drama, laughter, praise, worship, prayer and a powerful sermon by Pst Desirè Luke who was visiting us all the way from South Africa.

Pst Desirè ministered on the theme “Before the Battle Begins.” Drawing from 1 Samuel 17, she reminded us that understanding our battles and preparing spiritually is key, and that as believers, we never face challenges alone—God walks with us and delivers us.

She emphasized the importance of having vision before victory, encouraging us to see what God has promised even before it manifests. We were cautioned against discouragement and wrong counsel, and reminded to be intentional about the voices we listen to. Like David, we must stand on the undeniable evidence of God’s faithfulness, even in the face of fear.

We were also challenged to develop “noise-canceling” discipline—choosing not to respond to every voice or situation, but to trust in God’s strategy. The message ended with a powerful reminder that our victory is anchored in the name of the Lord of Hosts—our greatest advantage in every battle.

Join us every Sunday from 11:00hrs-13:30hrs.
