VERSE
1 Timothy 6:11 (KJV) But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

VERSE
2 Peter 1:4 (KJV) Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

INSPIRATION
Promises have been made and kept to us. We were given the gift of potential everlasting life. All we must do is to avoid the temptations of Satan, the sins of this finite world. It sounds so simple when the reward is eternal life, but as we all know, it is much easier said than done.

PRAYER
I vow to always worship You, O Lord, and rejoice in Your name. Forgive me for my many transgressions for I have sinned. I pray that You help deliver me from this evil, hardening my heart to the evils of this world. Through Your glory, I know that all things are possible, gracious Lord, my rock and strength. Amen.

True Repentance
Brings Us In the right Relation to Christ(PART2)

How shall a man be just with God? How shall the sinner be
made righteous? It is only through Christ that we can be
brought into harmony with God, with holiness; but how are
we to come to Christ? Many are asking the same question as
did the multitude on the Day of Pentecost, when, convicted
of sin, they cried out, "What shall we do?

The first word of Peter's answer was, "Repent." Acts 2:37, 38.
• At another time, shortly after, he said, "Repent, . . . and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out." Acts 3:19. {SC
23.1}

SC 23
• Repentance includes sorrow for sin and a turning away from
it. We shall not renounce sin unless we see its sinfulness;
until we turn away from it in heart, there will be no real
change in the life. {SC 23.2}

David SC 24
• The prayer of David after his fall, illustrates the nature of
true sorrow for sin. His repentance was sincere and deep.
There was no effort to palliate his guilt; no desire to escape
the judgment threatened, inspired his prayer. David saw the
enormity of his transgression; he saw the defilement of his
soul; he loathed his sin. It was not for pardon only that he
prayed, but for purity of heart. He longed for the joy of
holiness--to be restored to harmony and communion with
God.

Ps 32:1,2, Ps 51:1-14
• A repentance such as this, is beyond the reach of our own
power to accomplish; it is obtained only from Christ, who
ascended up on high and has given gifts unto men

A Very Important Point to
Ponder and Understand
SC26

Just here is a point on which many may err, and hence they
fail of receiving the help that Christ desires to give them.
They think that they cannot come to Christ unless they first
repent, and that repentance prepares for the forgiveness of
their sins.

It is true that repentance does precede the forgiveness of
sins; for it is only the broken and contrite heart that will feel
the need of a Saviour. But must the sinner wait till he has
repented before he can come to Jesus? Is repentance to be
made an obstacle between the sinner and the Saviour?

The Bible does not teach that the sinner must repent before
he can heed the invitation of Christ, "Come unto Me, all ye
that labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28. It is the virtue that goes forth from Christ,
that leads to genuine repentance.

Christ is the source of every right impulse. He is the only one
that can implant in the heart enmity against sin. Every desire
for truth and purity, every conviction of our own sinfulness,
is an evidence that His Spirit is moving upon our hearts.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Morning Prayer Sermon Outline

Title: What We Have With God's Love
Text: Romans 5:1-11

Introduction: Apostle Paul revealed the result of God's justification for our sins. Justification is God's action because of His great love for us. His justification brought us P-E-A-C-E-F-U-L living.

P-EACE from God
*verse 1, (because of JUSTIFICATION through the Lord JESUS Christ)
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

E-NTREE to God
*verse 2, (we GAINED access into God's GRACE)
"Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God."

A-SSURANCE from God
*verses 3-5a, (the joy that PRODUCES the character of PERSEVERANCE)
"Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us."

C-HERISH of God
*verse 5b, (the love poured out into our HEARTS by the HOLY Spirit)
"Because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us."

E-TERNITY with God
*verses 6-8, (our salvation is SECURED because of the SACRIFICE of Jesus)
"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

F-ORGIVENESS of God
*verse 9, (God FORGAVE us and saved us from God's FURY)
"Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!"

U-NION with Christ
*verse 10, (we used to be FOES of God, but He has accepted us as FRIENDS)
"For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!"

L-AUGHTER in life
*verse 11, (we can REJOICE in our RECONCILIATION with God)
"Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation."

Conclusion: We should CELEBRATE, be COMMITTED to give thanks and live with CONFIDENCE because of God's great love for us. If ever the time comes when there is something you NEED to let go, it should NOT be God’s love for us.

VERSE
1 Corinthians 10:16 (KJV) The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

INSPIRATION
The Lord's Supper, or "Communion," is a special time for believers to remember the great sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. The wine represents his shed blood and the bread his broken body. To approach such a solemn ceremony with a flippant attitude is to disrespect Christ and his sacrifice for sin.

PRAYER
When I take communion with Your people at church, Lord, let me examine myself and ensure that I drink and eat respectfully and without unconfessed sin in my life. But let me have communion with You at all times, not only during the Lord's Supper or at church. May I have fellowship with You and Your Son Jesus and with all of Your children every day. Amen

And I will give you shepherds
after my heart,
who will feed you with knowledge
and understanding.
Jeremiah 3:15

Shepherds after God’s heart instead of the kind they had before (compare Jer 2:8).

VERSE
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Romans 10:4

INSPIRATION
“Law”– Rom 3:20, 31; Rom 4:15; Rom 5:20; Rom 6:14; Rom 7:4, 7, 12, 14; Rom 8:3-4; Gal 3:19, 23-25. Christ has severed the connection between the believer and the law of Moses.

PRAYER
Lord, how foolish to try to keep the Law so as to earn salvation, when I am not able to keep it and Your Son has already kept it to perfection. Those who seek salvation by some man-invented way forsake their own mercy and walk down the broad path that leads to destruction. I thank you for Your grace-gift of Christ's righteousness, without which I could never stand before You. Amen
