Luke 11:9, Speaking to God in Prayer
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
We are encouraged to speak to God in faith, believing that He hears us and responds in His perfect will.
We approach God with reverence and humility, acknowledging that we are all sinners saved by grace. None of us deserve God’s blessings by our own merit, yet He blesses us because of His love and mercy.
We must speak to God in total dependence, knowing that it is only God who can truly help us in every situation.

Types of Prayer
Prayer of Adoration
Praising God for who He is. His holiness, power, love, and faithfulness.
Prayer of Confession
Acknowledging our sins and asking for forgiveness.

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Thanking God for all He has done, is doing, and will do.
📖 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Prayer of Supplication
Bringing our personal needs and requests before God.
📖 Philippians 4:6
Prayer of Intercession
Standing in the gap and praying for others, families, leaders, the church, and the nation.
📖 1 Timothy 2:1
Prayer reminds us that asking is not weakness, but faith in action.
When we ask, seek, and knock, we show our trust in God alone.

Prayer and fasting is not only about presenting our requests to God, but also about thanking Him for being faithful in both the good and difficult seasons of our lives.

District Dorcas Prayer and Fasting

Words from Pastor Sicheka, Our New District Pastor

Pastor Sicheka encouraged the women to work together with the leaders in unity. He emphasized that as Christians, we should avoid gossip and instead pray for one another.
He also highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship among women, encouraging self-reliance and growth.
Furthermore, he called upon local church leaders to work closely with district leaders for the strengthening and progress of the church.
