One of the most spoken about chapters of the bible, quoted in most Christian Women Conferences, in fact even the men think about it as they imagine their future; their happy ever after.
They say you have to see it before you possess it hence even boys have their own fantasies which neither involve football nor cars. See! almost every Christian lady I have ever encountered wants to be that proverbs 31 women, but which one exactly, I wonder?
Because at times I feel when we read this chapter our expectations are usually narrowed down, we rather rush to verse 10 going down that we don’t even allow scripture to speak for itself. Don’t get me wrong, to want to be the lady described in verse 10 going down is actually a great desire, all am saying is that maybe if we read this chapter with a more open mind, with all the things we were taught about it put aside then just maybe we would see that this lady, ladies dream to be, this wife men fantasize to see Is not the main character of this particular story.
This chapter is about a mother and son, at times boys never stop being boys because they lack someone to be their Proverbs 31 mother. Dear mothers this is for you, because when scripture says “raise up a child in the way of the Lord”, it includes this aspect too and making such to be a taboo does more harm than good. At times the problem is that the first time us boys learn about girls is when other boys are telling us of how they have been boys but trust me, every male needs that special woman to tell him that it is not ok to be with Mary on Monday and on Friday with Ruth, that if he runs around too much he might actually lose his youth because even the strength of youths grow weary
So dear sisters, you who want to be the proverbs 31 lady, make sure you dream big, till you turn out to be the proverbs 31 mother, Dear mothers, it’s never too late to sit down your sons and share with them wisdom like the proverbs 31 mother did, Dear boys listen to your Mothers ,give ear to what they have to say and if they never share anything with you, then go ahead and ask because the proverbs 31 woman you fantasize about is as a result of a wise mother.

A 'COMING SOON!' announcement often precedes future events in entertainment and sports, or the launch of the latest technology. The goal is to create anticipation and excitement for what is going to happen, even though it may be months away.

_While reading the book of Revelation, I was impressed with the 'coming soon' sense of immediacy permeating the entire book. Rather than saying, 'Someday, in the far distant future, Jesus Christ is going to return to earth,' the text is filled with phrases like 'things which must shortly take place' (1:1) and 'the time is near' (v.3). Three times in the final chapter, the Lord says, 'I am coming quickly' (Rev. 22:7,12,20). Other versions translate this phrase as, 'I’m coming soon,' 'I’m coming speedily,' and 'I’m on My way!' How can this be—since 2,000 years have elapsed since these words were written? 'Quickly' doesn’t seem appropriate for our experience of time._

_Rather than focusing on a date for His return, the Lord is urging us to set our hearts on His promise that will be fulfilled. We are called to live for Him in this present age 'looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ' (Titus 2:13). As with today’s text, 2 Peter 3:1-10 deals with Jesus’ imminent return. Peter explains that 'the Lord is not slack concerning His promise . . . but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance' (v.9).

Listening to this chapter, is like being challenged and asked over and over "Why are you trying to do it differently when all these great men did it all ,achieved all, defeated all by faith?"

Are you busy trying to live out your life, success, victory and all else differently? Well its possible for some to work out without faith, but if they do then they might not be that fulfilling because we are all designed to live by faith( hence the emptiness without it) , not to just use faith at times or at church but to actually literally live by it meaning it should apply to all circles of your life as it should be... just got carried away alittle hehe lets get back to Hebrews 11..

So After talking about how great the men of faith were, how many great things they achieved by faith, the writer ends the chapter in a surprising but yet even more glorious way for you and me. He says ' (despite all the great they were or achieved), yet non of them received all that God had promised because God had something even better for us , that they couldnt reach perfection without us" See there is more promise to faith, I know we might not see it but there is more promise to living by faith, a promise to take us to a greater perfection than it did the old heroes of faith this chapter talks about....

Lets try faith, lets try to truly live by it and see what promise to perfection is install for you and I, I dont know about you but this gets me excited and I am ready to try faith, I choose to truly live by faith from today onwards
