Conversation tricks to sound more confident

Confidence can take you places and it only gets truer than true each time you practice it and see yourself achieving it. It is something that can help you perform better in your job, appear more authoritative when you are addressing a crowd and even land more deals and partnerships in your business. Although, there are many people who don't feel 100% confident and miss out on a lot of professional opportunities which even starts affecting their personal life little by little. Hence, we thought of putting together some easy tips that you can follow in order to look and sound more confident while you're at work.

Speak slowly
Some people speak really fast when they are nervous and some are naturally fast talkers. Speaking too quickly indicates a lack of authority and confidence. While speaking fast, you are more likely to fumble and have less time to think through what you say. Hence, speak slowly and focus on each word that comes out of your mouth. This makes you sound clear and less likely to make errors.

Use pauses as an advantage
Using pauses while you speak is another strategy that can help you think your words. Work on creatively using your pauses in order to impact more on your speaking. If you're speaking publically or presenting a project to your clients, you might want to make use of a lot of pauses at the right times to let the public or the clients understand you better. They will be concentrating on whatever you say, so make sure you say each word loud and clear with all the pauses in place to make yourself look more authoritative in a situation like this.

Avoid asides
When you are giving a speech to an audience, asides are fine as you have advance time to prepare them, determine their relevance and then include them. However, in natural conversations, improvised asides can cause damage. Like, if you're in an interview and you have to answer a direct question, talking on a related story about something that happened to you in the past can indicate that you're nervous and trying to fill conversational space. Rather, focus more on what immediately comes to your mind, but make sure it's relevant.

Lower your volume
Most of the greatest speakers have lower tones of voice and this is because it makes them sound more confident and authoritative. Practice speaking in a lower tone of voice, however, don't force yourself as it might sound unnatural. But if you can get yourself to talk in a lower volume, it might start making a difference.

Improve your posture
It's not just about what you speak but also about how you look while speaking. When you are in a professional setup, it is preferred if you sit with your back straight, or stand with your shoulders stretched right and make eye contact with each person you're dealing with. Slouchy shoulders or a hunched back is not going to make people take you seriously.

LIFE IS THE JOURNEY WE NEED OTHERS

There was once a king who had ten wild dogs. He used them to torture and eat any of his servants who made a mistake. One of the
servants gave an opinion which was wrong, and the king didn’t like it at all. So he ordered that the servant be thrown to the dogs.

The servant said, “I served you for ten years, and you do this to me? Please give me ten days before throwing me to those dogs!”
The king agreed.

In those ten days, the servant went to the guard who looks after the dogs and told him he would like to serve the dogs for the next ten days. The guard was baffled but agreed, and the servant started feeding the dogs, cleaning for them, bathing them, and providing all sorts of comfort for them.

When the ten days were over, the king ordered
that the servant be thrown to the dogs for his
punishment. When he was thrown in, we were all amazed to see the ravenous dogs only licking the feet of the servant!

The king, baffled at what he was seeing, said,
”What has happened to my dogs?”

The servant replied, "I served the dogs for only
ten days, and they didn’t forget my service. Yet I served you for a whole ten years and you forgot all, at my first mistake!"

The king realised his mistake and ordered the
servant to be set free.
This post is a message to all those who forget
the good things a person did for them as soon as the person makes a mistake towards them. Don’t put out the history that is filled with good
because of a mistake you don’t like. How many times have we wronged God but he has forgiven us and even forgotten. Think about this.....

I am PERFECTLY FIT.....We are moving forward...

Relationships no matter what type should be reciprocal. Too many relationships are one sided and that is the cause of relational burnout. This is very real and I have seen it on so many levels from ministry, business to personal relationships. Please hear what I’m saying People have options!!!

People have lost good people because they took them for granted. Churches have lost good volunteers, Pastors have left because they were taken for granted. Men have lost good women and women have lost good men all because of relational burnout.

Stop 🛑 expecting something you are not willing to give. You want them to pay attention to you but don’t pay attention back or are not grateful. If they do nice things for you do nice things for them. They shouldn’t be spending time with you and they have to beg for you to want to spend time with them.

If they are taking you to a nice restaurant take them to one. If they buy you nice things buy them nice things. I know people are going to say they should do it just because and they should and so should you.

Its all about balance and understanding who you have and what you have in every relationship..
