As you go through this recap of Sunday’s preaching, ask the Holy Spirit to minister to you personally.
Preacher: Reverend Michael
Theme: Servanthood
Scripture: Matthew 20:20–28
Key Points on Servanthood
• The way up is the way down: In God’s Kingdom, greatness comes through humility and service.
• Humility has benefits: God honours those who humble themselves and serve.
• Greatness has a price: True greatness requires process, sacrifice, and commitment.
Who Are You Serving?
• Don't serve with an agenda: An agenda can delay your breakthrough.
• Seek God first: When you follow the Lord, things will follow you.
Focus on God, not things: When your attention is on God, He takes care of what concerns you.
• Meet His needs, and He will meet yours: Serving God positions you to experience His provision.
Growth, Service & Sacrifice
• You cannot appreciate where you are without understanding what you have been through.
• Greatness requires a process. You must be willing to go through it.
• What you receive cheaply, you may not value or protect.
• Some things are asked for, while others must be worked for.
• There are things prayer alone will not accomplish; action and service are required.
• Service carries a special kind of blessing.
• You cannot serve in absence. Service requires your presence and participation.
Servanthood is sacrifice.
• To receive grace from someone, make their life easier.
• Everything you don't have is a seed you have not planted.
• There is no greatness without service.
• Some seasons require you to suspend yourself so you can raise others.
• When you help someone become great, you position yourself to receive an anointing for greatness.
🔑 Main Takeaway
Greatness in the Kingdom is not about being served, but about becoming a servant. What you are willing to sacrifice, serve, and sow today can determine the level of greatness you experience tomorrow.
