VERSE
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (KJV) Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

INSPIRATION
“All thine heart...soul...might.” Have you given ALL of your heart, soul, and might to something before? What about just one of those 3 things? Imagine how powerful and good your effort and achievement would be with just one of those things. Combine the efforts of all 3 and it is a recipe for everlasting life.

PRAYER
Lord, I want to love you with all my heart, soul, and might. I must love you with all my heart, soul, and might. When my faith wavers my God, strengthen my love and will to know you. I will leave everything else to you, my strength and my redeemer. In your name I pray. Amen.

VERSE
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

INSPIRATION
There are no words that can fully describe God, His love, or what it means to believe. It is with actions and feelings that God’s love can be conveyed. Saying that you believe in Jesus is one thing. Believing in Jesus is another one entirely. Believe in Christ and you shall be saved. Confess your love for Him, for Christ is the Lord.

PRAYER
Almighty Father in Heaven, I love Your son, Jesus Christ. I am astounded at Your willingness to send Him to die for a group of sinners; we truly do not deserve His life, let alone His death. Jesus Christ, I thank you for Your gentle and illuminating life on earth. Thank you for teaching us how to truly love and be loved. I love You, Christ my Lord. In your name I pray, Amen.

VERSE
Romans 13:8 (KJV) Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

INSPIRATION
Simple, beautiful, and poignant. We owe nothing to others except love. Do that, and God's law is fulfilled. I only wish I could say that I always did it, but we all must try.

PRAYER
I love You, caring and gentle God, more than these words can ever suffice to say. I love Your son, Jesus Christ, with all of my heart and strength, which is not an iota of the power with which He loved me. I love the Holy Spirit, sustaining my faith, protecting me, nourishing my soul. Thank you, majestic Lord, for loving me so dearly. I pray today that I will fulfill Your law to love others as You have taught me. Amen.

VERSE

Joshua 1:9 (KJV) Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

INSPIRATION

Fear is one of the number one things holding people back from living happier and more productive lives. Fear of harm, fear of responsibility, but perhaps most insidiously, fear of rejection from others. Yet, with God as our Light and our ultimate redeemer, there is resolutely nothing to fear, for nothing can overpower God’s will. So long as we are disciples of His word, He cannot, and will not, turn His back on us.

PRAYER

Lord, within the darkest depths of my soul, dispel my fears with Your light! Grant me courage in the face of all adversity, knowing that You are my armor. Let me not be dismayed, for in living in Your name, I need not know fear or rejection. For in You all things are possible. By Your grace grant me this, at once by my side and within my heart, Amen.

Verse

Psalms 139:23-24 (KJV) Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Inspiration

Wickedness and anxiety can be crippling for any person, and fear is the primary cause of it: fear of meeting others, failure, not living up to expectations, saying the wrong thing, and death. God loves us. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) With God ever behind us, our anxieties can melt away. Our fear shall be changed to love. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.” (1 John 4:18) Believe in God, for all things are possible through him!

Prayer

Deliver me from evil my Lord! I will praise thy name! I aim to know thee and know that you will know my heart and thoughts. Lead me away from temptation merciful God, and lead me towards the path of the way everlasting. I submit myself to you, in any way that you see fit to use me, I am yours. Thanks be to God, Amen.

(((GOD RISE AGAIN FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION)))

((MAY WE CONTINUE TO WORK TO SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS AS WELL))

(VERSE)
Acts 5:16-18 (KJV) There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,
And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

(INSPIRATION)
The chief priests thought that their problems had been solved when Jesus was crucified. They were wrong! Now they had all the apostles preaching and teaching as Jesus did. The news had spread beyond Jerusalem and people were coming in from the surrounding cities with their sick. What especially angered the Sadducees was their preaching about the resurrection. The Sadducees taught that there was no life after death. (The Pharisees believed in an afterlife.) As we’ve discussed before, jealousy is a dangerous emotion. They had the apostles arrested but an angel of the Lord appeared and opened the doors so that they could go back to the temple courtyard and continue to preach. Imagine their shock when they sent the guards back to get them and they found the doors still locked but the apostles gone. They arrested them again. The chief priest was afraid of losing control over the people. In today’s world, there are still people who are willing to speak out against injustice and to speak words of encouragement to those who have been discriminated against. I think in particular of the movement in the sixties to allow those who were black in the southern United States to vote. Many of these workers were jailed and beaten only to go right back to working for justice. Nelson Mandela in South Africa was arrested and spent years in jail for his efforts to end apartheid. I’m sure you can name others who were not afraid of the consequences. Missionaries in Africa, Central America and South America who preach the Gospel of love have also been persecuted and killed. The most notable of these is Oscar Romero killed by government police while he was saying Mass. May we continue to work to spread the Good News as well, knowing that there will be those who will fear the message of love and equality.

(PRAYER)
Lord, your word and your work will continue to spread in spite of those who work against you. May we be witnesses of your message in spite of the dangers. Amen

(VERSE)
Romans 6:14 (KJV) For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

(INSPIRATION)
The problem with the Law of Moses was that it did not have the ability to redeem or save people from their sin. If anything, it exposed the sin man possessed and showed how impossible it was for any man to live up to God’s standard in their own power. But grace, ushered in through Jesus Christ, enables us to live righteously. We are no longer condemned but free from sin.

(PRAYER)
Dear God, I thank you that as a result of what Your son, Jesus Christ, did for me, I am free from sin. I am under grace, able to be righteous because I am justified by the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Father, it is because of grace I can live a holy life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

(VERSE)
2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

(INSPIRATION)
The only offensive weapon of our warfare, God's Word, is powerful through God to destroy the idols of the mind. It is able to humble our prideful thoughts and bring every thought into obedience to Jesus Christ. The battle of the mind is the hinge that our whole lives and the whole course of the world turns on. If we lose that battle, we lose everything.

(PRAYER)
You, Lord, are he who can help us to win the battle of the mind and of the heart. Your Word is mighty in the hands of the Spirit to crush false and prideful beliefs that are contrary to the doctrine of Christ. We lean on Your Word and its teachings and not on our own natural understanding. We come to Your Word in faith, seeking understanding. Amen

(VERSE)
Psalms 103:12 (KJV) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

(INSPIRATION)
It is perhaps impossible for us to even imagine how deep God’s love runs for us, for just as He is ultimately beyond our total comprehension, so too is the depth of His feelings. We may get some inkling of it by virtue of the salvation we all know; that if we confess and truly repent, so our sins too will be absolved. Consider this, could we show such love to anyone? If they committed the most heinous acts or injuries upon us and after asked for forgiveness, could we do the same in all circumstances?

(PRAYER)
My Redeemer and Father, whose Heavenly wisdom sees all I think and do, and from whom I cannot hide my heart. Grant me Your love once again, as I ask for forgiveness for the sins I have committed. Grant me mercy once again for the wrongs I have perpetrated. For I beg for Your forgiveness Lord, and know that Your mercy is infinite, and from which I may drink as from a well that never dries. Amen.
