*AWANA MINISTRY TEAM*
A Ministry Team Member in Awana is a trained and committed Sunday School teacher or children’s worker who partners with Awana to reach children and youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to disciple them to serve Him faithfully.
Ministry Team Members are the backbone of Awana at both local church and district levels. They carry two main responsibilities:
1. Training
They recruit, equip, and train other teachers and volunteers within their local churches to serve in children’s ministry.
At the district level, they also help train churches that desire to start Awana programs, assisting them with curriculum understanding, club organization, and leadership development.
2. Service
Service is at the heart of the Awana mission. Awana partners with local churches by providing programs and resources for children’s ministry. The local church, through its ministry team, runs these programs weekly.
It is very important to note:
> The stronger, more passionate, and more committed the ministry team members are to children’s ministry in their local churches, the more Awana grows in that church and district.
