LET GO AND LET GOD

SCRIPTURE:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Surrendering control allows God to take over.

REFLECTION:

One of the greatest challenges in the walk of faith is learning to let go. As human beings, we often want to control outcomes, understand every detail, and manage every situation. But God calls us to trust Him beyond our understanding.

Proverbs 3:5 reminds us not to lean on our own understanding. This means there comes a point where reasoning must give way to trust. Letting go is not giving up—it is handing over control to God.

When you hold on too tightly to situations, you limit what God can do. Fear, anxiety, and overthinking often come from trying to control what only God can handle. But when you release it into His hands, you make room for His wisdom, power, and intervention.

Letting God take over requires faith. It means trusting that He knows what is best, that His timing is perfect, and that His plans are higher than yours. It is a posture of surrender and confidence in His ability.

There is peace in surrender. When you let go and let God, you step into rest. You stop striving and start trusting. And in that place, God begins to work in ways beyond your imagination.

LESSON(S):

1. Trust in God requires letting go of control.
2. Human understanding is limited.
3. Surrender creates room for God to work.
4. Peace comes from trusting God fully.

PRAYER:

Father, help me to trust You completely. Teach me to let go of every situation I cannot control and place it in Your hands. Strengthen my faith to rely on You fully. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I let go and trust God. I rest in His wisdom and walk in His peace.

*SINGLENESS OF HEART*

SCRIPTURE:

" _The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light." — Matthew 6:22 (KJV)_

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

A heart divided cannot walk in clarity. Singleness of heart is the gateway to spiritual light.

REFLECTION:

Singleness of heart is not merely about focus it is about purity of pursuit. When Jesus speaks of the eye being single, He is pointing to the power of undivided devotion. A believer whose heart is set on one thing one person “Christ” is filled with light, clarity, and purpose. But when our affections are split, confusion creeps in. We begin to chase shadows, and the light within us dims.

This is why we must be careful with what guides us. Sermons are not entertainment; they are spiritual instruction. There is what we call passive indoctrination, this comes about as a result of hearing truth without engaging it which leaves us vulnerable to deception. “ _But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8)_ This potion of Scripture warns us that even if an angel preaches another gospel, it must be rejected. If we pursue what is false, even the good in us can be corrupted. Our discernment is sharpened not by emotion, but by the Spirit’s wisdom.

To follow Christ is to walk by revelation, not routine. It requires spiritual discernment and intentionality. A single heart listens, tests, and obeys. It does not drift with trends or opinions. It anchors itself in truth and filters every voice through the Word. When your heart is single, your path is clear even when the world is noisy.
. _"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ " (Ephesians 4:11)._
There’s only one Spiritual authority you’re assigned to, for you to submit under. Embrace that wisdom and stay Loyal.

LESSON(S):

1. Singleness of heart brings clarity and spiritual light.

2. Passive listening to sermons can lead to confusion and compromise.

3. True discipleship requires discernment and Spirit-led wisdom.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, purify my heart and make it single in it’s devotion to You. Remove every distraction and false pursuit. Teach me to listen with intention and follow with discernment. Let Your light fill my whole being, in Christ Jesus your Son I pray.

DECLARATION:

My heart is set on Christ alone. I reject confusion and embrace clarity. I walk by the Spirit, not by noise.

THE POWER OF A THANKFUL HEART

SCRIPTURE:
“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
A thankful heart keeps you aligned with the will of God.

REFLECTION
Thanksgiving is more than a spiritual act—it is a posture of the heart that positions a believer in the center of God’s will. When gratitude becomes your daily lifestyle, you naturally walk in divine alignment. God delights in a heart that recognizes His goodness, His mercy, and His unfailing love.

Many people wait for conditions to be perfect before they thank God, but Scripture commands us to give thanks in everything—not because everything is good, but because God is good. Thanksgiving turns trials into testimonies and burdens into blessings. It shifts your focus from the problem to the God who solves the problem.

When Paul and Silas were chained in a dark prison, they chose thanksgiving. Their praise shook the foundations of the prison and opened every door. Your thanksgiving has the power to break chains, open gates, and silence the enemy.

Beloved, gratitude is the fragrance heaven responds to. When your heart is thankful, your life becomes a magnet for divine intervention. A thankful believer is unbeatable, unshakable, and unstoppable.

Let your heart overflow with thanksgiving—even in small things. Gratitude sustains your victories and unlocks new ones.

1. Thanksgiving aligns you with God’s perfect will.

2. A grateful heart invites divine intervention.

3. Gratitude turns challenges into platforms for breakthrough.

PRAYER:
Father, I thank You for Your goodness in my life. Help me to maintain a grateful heart in every circumstance. May my thanksgiving continually attract Your presence, Your power, and Your direction. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

THEME: THE GOSPEL SHOULD BE YOUR PRIMARY FOCUS

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).

The Gospel is God’s number one priority. It’s the most important thing to Him because therein, that is, through the Gospel, is the righteousness of God revealed (Romans 1:17). He brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel (2 Timothy 1:10). The Bible says, *_"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"_* (John 3:16).

God sent Jesus to die for the sins of the world so that believing in Him, they might have life. Nothing is more important than that. This is why you must make the Gospel your priority. Preach it everywhere with the fervency and passion of the Spirit. Your life, and everything about you, also becomes Heaven’s focus when the Gospel becomes your priority. Your home becomes God's headquarters, His centre of operation, with angels constantly moving in and out, carrying out divine assignments.

Make the Gospel your primary focus, and you’ll always walk in divine provisions. The moment you desire something, Heaven makes it available. Why? Because the angels are under strict instructions to ensure everything you require is supplied, just like the psalmist wrote, *_“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want"_* (Psalm 23:1).

Furthermore, when the Gospel is your focus, God’s holy angels work with you to dismantle oppositions and keep the enemy subdued. The Bible says, *_“There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways”_* (Psalm 91:10-11). This is the life of a soul winner; GOD’S ANGELS ARE ALWAYS AT WORK IN YOUR BEHALF, PUSHING THE RIGHT BUTTONS, AND MAKING SURE THINGS ARE WORKING IN YOUR FAVOUR. Hallelujah!

STUDY THE RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THEME: UNLIMITED AUTHORITY

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13).

There’re no limits to what we can do in the Name of Jesus. Our potentials, abilities, strength, wisdom, dominion and might are infinite because we represent Him. We live in His Name. We can do anything and all things in His Name. This is one reason you must be bold, tough, and never act like a victim; in Christ, you’re more than a conqueror.

Read again what the Lord Jesus said in our opening scripture: *“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”* Only the Name of Jesus wields unlimited authority, power that changes hopeless situations and makes all things possible. What a Name!

No wonder the Bible says, *“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”* (Philippians 2:9-11). Then in Mark 16:17-18, the Lord Himself said, *"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”*

This is absolutely glorious because it means it doesn’t matter what the case is, you can have a miracle, a testimony, in His Name. Now you can understand why Peter could boldly address a man who was impotent in his feet and commanded him to stand up in the Name of Jesus and the crippled limbs received strength (read Acts 3:1-8).

The devil could not stop it. The man leaped and walked; how? In the Name of Jesus! That Name is above every name, and in that Name, you have authority over all things. Therefore, reign and exercise dominion in this world. Praise God!

THEME: CHRIST IN YOUR SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory "(Colossians 1:27).

The greatest thing that could ever happen to a person is to receive and know Jesus Christ. His Word and indwelling presence give your life a meaning and establish your victory over sin, sickness and the devil.

Man is a spirit, he has a soul and he lives in a body. When you were born again, Christ took up His abode in your spirit. However, His manifestation in your life must go beyond your spirit and impact your soul, mind and body. A person can be born again and still struggle with negative thoughts or be oppressed of the devil.

This is because the soul, which comprises the mind, emotions and will, must also be subjected to the influence of Christ. When Christ is manifested in your soul, your thoughts are renewed to align with God’s Word. Instead of thinking fear, failure, or defeat, you think faith, success, victory, dominion and righteousness. You feel the emotions of God and act according to His will. This is why the Bible admonishes in Romans 12:2 for us to renew our minds.

In John 14:21, the Lord Jesus said, *"… he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."* This means Jesus can manifest Himself to you, not just in your spirit but also in your mind, filling you with divine thoughts. If you’re sick in your body today for example, what you need is the manifestation of Christ in your body! It’ll keep you in divine health.

His manifestation in your life dispels everything that is not of God. If Christ is manifested in the limbs of one who’s impotent, they’ll be made whole. If He’s manifested in your heart, you’ll never have heart trouble. Hallelujah! Christ manifested in the lives of sinners breaks the power of sin and shatters the chains of bo***ge for them to serve God in righteousness.

So, let Christ be fully expressed in every part of your being—your spirit, soul and body—so that you may walk in the fullness of His glory. It begins with you being conscious of the Christ-life in you and living every second, every minute and every hour of each day with the understanding that Christ in you is the hope of glory.
