REPORT ON THE SELF DENIAL APPEAL LAUNCH

The Salvation Army - Ndola City Corps
Date: 1st March 2026

The Ndola City Corps of The Salvation Army successfully launched its Self Denial Appeal on Sunday, 1st March 2026, under the theme "SUBMISSION BEFORE ADDITION." The event was marked by unity, worship, and a commitment to God's work, with the congregation gathering to support this worthy cause.

The main Scripture, Luke 9:10-17, highlighted the feeding of the five thousand, emphasizing that when we submit our resources to God, He multiplies them for the benefit of many. Major O. Mukuna, Assistant Manager for Mitanda Home for the Aged, delivered a powerful message outlining five principles for Salvation Army soldiers: identifying needs, providing solutions, being responsible, being organized, and using what we have.

The event featured presentations by the Ndola City Corps Majorette, Songsters, and the Mighty CHIFUBU UCZ Restoration Praise Team, and was attended by notable guests, including Mr. Jericho Milambo, Mr. Hudson Namachila, and Mr. and Mrs. Nsofwa.

Ms. Rudo Mwesha expressed gratitude on behalf of the Corps, encouraging all to support the Self Denial Appeal as an act of submission to God. The launch was deemed a great success, reinforcing the importance of submitting to God's will for His glory.
