Sunday Service Summary
Preacher: Pastor J. C. Chali
Scriptures: John 11:1–27 | Acts 3:1–9
Theme: What Do You Believe?
Today’s message reminded us about the importance of where we place our faith.
There are times we trust and believe in people, but they end up disappointing us—especially when we need them the most. This teaches us that when we put our full trust in man, disappointment is inevitable. Our true trust must be in God.
In the story of Lazarus, Jesus delayed for four days before arriving. Lazarus remained in the grave, yet this was not without purpose. God allowed it so that His glory could be revealed. What looked like a hopeless situation became a testimony of God’s power.
Likewise, in Acts, the crippled man at the Beautiful Gate experienced God’s power not through money, but through healing—showing that God’s ways go beyond human expectations.
There are situations in life that:
God allows for His glory
Come not to stay, but to pass
Happen for a greater purpose
As believers, we are encouraged to remain faithful and patient, even in difficult times. Not everything we go through is meant to break us—some things are meant to reveal God’s glory.
We are also reminded that going to church is not just about receiving material things or personal needs, but about worshipping God and giving Him glory.
Let us continue to endure what we face, trusting that in the end, our lives will testify of the glory of God.
Amen.
