Day 14/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Today is our final day and we are going to DECLARE and DECREE some things, biblical truths upon our lives, beloveds, and our church!

In the Bible, To “declare” is to state (out loud) a fact; to “decree” is to issue an authoritative command.

This means to make known, proclaim, or announce something clearly and authoritatively, a concept used for both God's revelation of His will and for believers affirming God's truth.

“Yes, the Almighty will be your gold And your precious silver;

For then you will have your delight in the Almighty, And lift up your face to God.

You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows.

You will also *DECLARE* a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭22‬:‭25‬-‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Hallelujah!! That is Bible!

Are you ready to make some declarations??

Every two hours, I’ll post some biblical truths (SCRIPTURES) and we will declare that truth upon our lives!!

Starting with the passage of scripture that have shared 👆🏽 , the we continue with these 👇🏽

Identity’s in Christ:

- "I am a child of God" (John 1:12).

- "I am a new creation" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

- "I am chosen and dearly loved" (Colossians 3:12).

- "I am more than a conqueror" (Romans 8:37).

- “I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13

Day 12/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

We continue with our spiritual warfare

Today we are casting out the spirit of infirmity/sickness and praying against spiritual setbacks, stagnation and unnecessary delay.

We are praying …

“And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

- Let’s pray against the spirit of infirmity, some of us have a particular pattern of sickness or disease that runs in the family. Let’s break it by power of the blood of Jesus!

- Let’s pray against setbacks, stagnation and unnecessary delay

“‘You have circled this mountain long enough; turn northward,”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

- Let’s pray against every vice that causes us setbacks and stagnation. Sin, sickness/infirmity, misfortune things that appear from nowhere and unexpected.etc.

- ⁠Let us break down every walls that the enemy sets to hinder us from progressing. Let us disturb and unset every trap!

- Now Let’s ask God to restore the years the enemy store through sickness, sin, procrastination, laziness, ignorance and so forth.

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.”

For how long are we going to remain at/in the SAME PLACE as a church, individually, going round circles?

Enough is enough!

Day 11/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

We continue with our spiritual warfare

Today we are demolishing

- Every demonic influence in our lives
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Colossians 1:13

- Every destructive patterns i.e spirit of (self) destruction, things like:

Lying
Slander
Gossip
Jealousy
Envy
Covetousness
Addictions (as a form of idolatry)
Stubbornness
Worldliness

Especially among our young people!

Galatians 5:19-20

- The solution is to walk in step with the Holy Spirit. Let us pray that this year we will hunger and thirst for the Holy Spirit!

- Let us pray that we will be obedient to the leadership of the Holy Ghost!

“If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage—our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit].”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭25‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let us claim victory against these through the power of Christ and the leadership of the Holy Ghost!

Day 10/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

We continue our Spiritual Warfare! Let’s take this seriously!!

What are STRONGHOLDS??

Strongholds according to 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 are patterns that are difficult to break. These could be:

- Arguments raised against the knowledge of God. (Rational strongholds)

- Lofty opinions raised against the knowledge of God. (Mental strongholds)

- Thoughts (or ideas) that would lead someone away from obeying Christ. (Emotional strongholds)

These things bring about unbelief, fear, pride, unforgiveness, accusations, condemnation, etc.

Today let us demolish every:

- Unbelief and doubt - let’s pray that through his word, God will help us grow our faith and total trust in him for EVERYTHING we need pertaining to life and godliness

- The spirit of fear, anxiety, shame, guilt, feeling of unworthiness, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, depression, and despair. (Emotional strongholds)

- The spirit of rebellion that refuses to obey. Let punish every act of disobedience

“being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let us claim victory over all these!!

Day 9/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

We have prayed for the Lord to open our eyes and we have been praying for guidance!

These are key to OBEDIENCE, which as you may know is our theme for this year!

This final week, we are going to wage war against the kingdom of darkness, we will fight back and claim our victory through Christ!

“See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.””
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The enemy uses many tricks to hinder our progress, one of which is *lying and deception* , he is the father of all lies!!

- Let’s root out and pull down every deception and lying we have held on to as a ministry, and in our lives, that prevents progress.

- Let pray against every wrong / false teachings. Let’s ask for the Berean spirit that carefully searches scripture to confirm every teaching.

- Let’s uproot and pray against the spirit of manipulation. The devil uses things like alcoholism, drugs, sexual immorality, po*******hy (it’s estimated that in the US more that 50% of church folks, leaders too, are addicted to po*******hy, I’m not sure the stats in Africa or Zambia specifically), love of money, pride and others. We need to break these strongholds!!

For today, let’s focus on these… let’s continue praying beloveds!!

Day 8/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

We continue to pray for guidance, this time for specific areas of our lives

Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV
[8] And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

Let's pray for:

- Guidance in the way of our Church - how to move towards growth and fruitfulness!

- Guidance in our lives, what's our individual life plans, the 10 year plan. Is it school?, a specific kind of job?, ministry? Pray beloved, this is super important!!

- Guidance in the area of Family (marriage/spouse/children) - this is also for those yet to have families of their own. Pray for guidance on how to choose a spouse and how to lead a family founded on Christ. Young people, you can never be too young to pray for this, of course when the time is right! So speak into the future! What you cannot visualize, you cannot materialize!

- Guidance with the house(s) you plan to build and any other project

- Guidance with your current Career/job or one you could be searching for - pray for one aligned to your God-given purpose, growth and establishment!

- Guidance for businesses, choice of business, how to invest and spend money wisely, the right potential employees and/or partners.

- Guidance in our various giftings and ministries

Let's us pray for God to guide our steps in all areas of life

Day 7/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

We have been looking at hearing the voice of God, we have prayed and learned how to position ourselves to hear God.

Now Let's pray for guidance, and I'll encourage you to be specific.

Let's Pray that God may guide us to complete everything he started in us. EVERYTHING!

Some of us start WONDERFUL things that we never finish or see to fruition. This has to come to an end!

Every failed project, let's ask God to guide us, but this time around for assured success!

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
[5] Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

[6] in all your ways submit to him, and *he will make your paths straight.*

Psalms 32:8 NKJV
[8] I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

Psalms 37:23 NKJV
[23] The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.

Let's pray for guidance in the way we will move this year...

Let's pray for guidance for every decision we will make this year.

Many of us are making or are about to make KEY DECISIONS (If you’re not, pray for someone who may be about to), let’s pray for clarity of guidance by the Holy Spirit!

Day 6/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Yesterday we looked at ways we can hear God and we prayed accordingly…

Remember, If we are to be obedient this year (and going forward) as is our theme, we need to know how to hear God when he speaks!

Today we continue with the final thoughts on that matter before we move to other prayer items…

5. Write it Down: Record thoughts, dreams, or impressions that come during quiet time. Please write it down.
Ask God to remind you of the important details especially if it’s a dream. Habakkuk 2:2-3

6. Discern: Compare inner promptings with Scripture; God's voice will be loving, encouraging, and lead to Christ, unlike the enemy's condemnation.
Ask God for discernment 1Kings 3:9 James 1:5

7. Confirm: Seek confirmation in community or through circumstances, always verifying against the Bible and spiritual guide (Pastor or mature leaders)
Ask God to guide you to people that will guide you spiritually, Eli the priest might have been compromised but Samuel still needed that covering. We need the men of God, and sound ones are a BIG PLUS. Let’s pray for such! Proverbs 13:30

Today is 5/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Yesterday we prayed against disobedience and rebellion..

However, they’re still other factors that can prevent us from hearing God.

If we are to be obedient this year (and going forward) as is our theme, we need to know how to hear God when he speaks!

Consider the following points on how to hear God and the succeeding prayer points:

1. Ask: Directly ask God to speak to you and guide you. Mathew 7:7

2. Be patient: remember God doesn’t work on our terms even if we want to behave like it. Just because we prayed NOW doesn’t mean he then should respond there and then… no. Trust and wait! Besides, he knows best!
Let’s pray for God to give us patience and to trust his timing. *Isaiah 40:31*

3. Listen: Be silent and still, turning off distractions to create space to hear.
Ask God to open your ears, your spiritual ears and eyes and as you wait to hear from him! *Psalm 46:10*

4. Read Scripture: Immerse yourself in the Bible to become familiar with God's character and truth.
Ask God to give you the desire and hunger for his word.. Psalm 1:2, Psalm 119:103,131, 1Peter 2:1-3

Day 4/14 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Yesterday we prayed against hardness of heart and a corrupt priesthood.

Today we continue in a similar manner..

Think about it, what if he speaks, calls, and we do not recognize his voice?? Just like young Samuel…

Today we are praying that God will open our ears and eyes that we may hear him when he speaks and see him when he shows up even in unlikely places! Because it has been given to us to understand the voice of God Just like the Lord Jesus said in the book of Matthew 13.

Mathew 13:11-15

John 10:27

Samuel was just young, but often times when the Bible talks about people’s ears being closed, it refers to rebellion and disobedience as a reason.

Remember, this year’s theme is “OBEDIENCE” ..

Let’s pray against the spirit of disobedience and rebellion. Especially in the church.

Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit will teach us OBEDIENCE through his word.

*Day 3/14 days of Prayer and Fasting*

Yesterday we prayed that God would speak and we would receive his revelation today when it’s so difficult to, just like the times of Samuel.

1 Samuel 3

Now, why was the word of God rare??

1 Samuel Chapter 2 answers that. (Please take time to read the whole chapter if you can, as you MUST)

Ans: “because of the hardness of heart among the people of Israel and the corruption of the priesthood”

This means, people turned away from God, and the priests (sons of Eli) did evil before the Lord.

When sin abounds, it’s difficult to see and hear God.

We see this today, we are just as guilty today.

*Prayer direction:*

- Let’s cry for mercy upon God’s people. His mercies are new every morning and James 2:13b reminds us that Mercy triumphs over judgement.
- ⁠Let’s pray that God will remove the hard hearts of stone and replace it with the heart of flesh - Ezekiel 36:26
- ⁠Let’s pray for the church leaders that God will keep us from corruption (sin and evil)
- ⁠Let’s pray for obedience, especially among young people - Eli tried to warn his sons but they’d not listen. How many times do we see that today??
- ⁠Let’s pray again all distractions that will keep us from hearing God.

Yesterday we started our 14 days of Prayer and Fasting!!

Today is Day 2/14 Days!!

Scripture

“Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. *And the word of the Lord was rare in those days;* there was no widespread revelation.”
‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In the days when it was RARE for God to speak, God spoke and Samuel received a revelation from God.

Yesterday we prayed in-line with our THOUGHTS. We prayed that God should search our thought - those of ourselves and our thoughts of others.

Today’s Prayer Direction:

Avail yourself to God and his revelation,then, let us pray that in the days of social media and digital transformation where everyone has an opinion, and it is as if no one really seeks to hear what God is saying, we must seek Gods voice.

Pray that God would speak to you and me and to our Church, and the CHURCH at large!
