Life can easily pull our attention toward what is happening right now, our struggles, pressures, ambitions, possessions, disappointments and the demands of everyday life. But the Word reminds us:

As believers, we are called to live in the light of eternity.

๐Ÿ”น See yourself in the light of eternity.
๐Ÿ”น See your salvation in the light of eternity.
๐Ÿ”น See your sanctification in the light of eternity.
๐Ÿ”น See your service in the light of eternity.

What we face today is temporary, but what God is preparing for us is eternal. So don't lose heart. Don't allow temporary things to distract you from eternal priorities.

Keep your eyes on eternal things. Stay faithful. Keep serving. Keep preaching the Gospel. Keep your eyes on Jesus. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved brother and Elder, Hon. Mutotwe Kafwaya.

His passing is both devastating and heartbreaking to his family and to the entire Tabernacle of David Assembly-City Mission Church. We have lost not only a brother and an Elder, but also a dearly loved member of our church family whose presence, service, and fellowship have been an integral part of our journey for over 20 years.

His commitment to God and his love for His work were evident in the way he faithfully served in the church, cared for his family, contributed to the community in which he worked and served the nation in his capacity as a Government Official. His life reflected a deep sense of duty, service and responsibility and his impact reached far beyond the walls of the church.

We mourn the loss of a man who was deeply cherished and respected by many. His life, his service, his kindness, generosity and the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in our hearts. At a time when words cannot adequately express the depth of our grief, we draw comfort from the assurance that God is close to those who are brokenhearted and carries those who mourn.

We extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, colleagues and all those who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him. May the Lord comfort and strengthen them during this painful season, sustain them in the days ahead, and give them the grace to endure this profound loss.

The legacy of his life and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

The Bishop, Church Board and congregation are guilelessly disturbed by reports of the disappearance of Honourable Mutotwe Kafwaya, a valued member and ELDER of our church community for over 20 years. We remain concerned about his current whereabouts.

Our top priority is his safety and well-being, as well as the peace of mind for his wife, children, relatives and friends, who face ongoing uncertainty. We stand united with his family in prayer, compassion, and Christian amicability.

We urge all relevant authorities to act swiftly in locating him, to communicate his condition without delay, and to follow all legal and constitutional procedures. Every family deserves truthful and timely information about their loved ones.

As a church, we choose not to speculate or assign blame. Instead, we advocate for a transparent, lawful and credible investigation that uncovers the truth while respecting the dignity and rights of everyone involved.

Our concern extends beyond this case to all individuals and families affected by reports of violence, disappearance, detention, or intimidationโ€”regardless of activist, ethnic, regional, religious, or social backgrounds.

The Church remains committed to praying for our leaders, candidates, institutions and all citizens. Our pastoral care is never an endorsement of any political party, candidate, or electoral dispute.

We call on all Zambians to reject violence, tribal hostility, threats and inflammatory rhetoric. Let us seek truth and justice through peaceful, lawful and constitutional means.

We continue to pray for Honourable Kafwayaโ€™s safety, for strength and comfort for his loved ones, and for wisdom, restraint, and integrity among all authorities involved.

โ€œGod is our refuge and strength, a very present help in troubleโ€ (Psalm 46:1).
