St.Columbas Presbyterian Church in Lusaka has taken a significant initiative to be an active part of our community? This is through its Prison Ministry, which has embraced a vital role in the 2025 calendar year.

​With steadfast support from our dedicated members, the Prison Ministry has faithfully continued to visit prisons throughout the province. Our mission is to extend a hand of support to those who are incarcerated behind bars. We remind them that God has not forgotten about them by sharing the Word, providing clean clothing, essential toiletries, and bibles devotional materials.

​"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." – Matthew 25:35-36 (ESV)

Are you willing to join this great group ?

​Our ministry is not just about the little you have to give; it's truly about your presence and encouragement to those behind bars. The smile's on their faces when they see you—that deep connection—is what fuels our Prison Ministry to continue the essential work we are doing.

​This is just the start! Come along with us and be part of the team!
​Let's encourage those behind bars to find Christ, just like the prisoner on the cross who called unto Jesus and repented, finding salvation in Him. Similarly, remember Paul and Silas, who sang in prison and the doors were miraculously opened (Acts 16:25-26). Yet, they did not run into the darkness; they remained to minister to those around them.

But here’s the inspiring part of our local ministry:

🏥 Transforming Lives at UTH!

Since 2021, St. Columba's has adopted Ward C21 at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH), Zambia's largest referral center. Our dedicated rehabilitation work has completely transformed the ward.

We are creating a more suitable, dignified, and conducive environment for the recovery of patients with complex, long-term medical conditions who require extended care stays.

Impact that matters: Your support helps us provide comfort, dignity, and hope in the heart of Lusaka. The church on a monthly basis visits ward C21 to share the WORD and food staffs to patients, cleaning materials and donation of clean beddings to the ward.
