GALILEE BIDS FAREWELL TO REVEREND CYNTHIA K. SHANZI
The Chelstone Consistory of the United Church of Zambia joined the Galilee Congregation in bidding farewell to Rev. Cynthia K. Shanzi.
The Reverend bid farewell after the Church transferred and stationed her at Twin Palm Congregation within Chelstone Consistory.
In her speech, the Reverend described how Galilee was her first stationing after completing a major milestone in ministry. She outlined the achievements made during her stay at Galilee Congregation, also noting the challenges faced, and gave glory to Almighty God.
The guest of honor Mr. Utant Siame led the invited guests, Friends, Family and the entire congregation in appreciating the Reverend for her great service during her tenure as Minister in Charge of Galilee Congregation.
Mr. Siame then applauded the congregation for providing a fruitful environment for the Reverend to excel and for the growth of the congregation, stating: “The Church can only grow and make great strides if we work together as one.”
During the sermon drawn from the books of 1st chronicles 12:32, Ecclesiastes 9:11 and Joshua 9:14-15, Rev. Shanzi preached on the theme “Discerning and responding to the divine timings and opportunities.”
She called on congregants to move in the timed divine purposes in order to witness its awesome manifestations.
Rev. Shanzi encouraged the congregation to align themselves with God’s opportunities in order to spur greater success. She urged them to be like the children of Issachar and understand the season, noting that every season carries a unique glory and favor.
She reminded the church to accept every chapter in life in order to provoke maturity, emphasizing that every farewell is a call to respond to a time set by the Lord God Almighty.
She continued by saying that those who are healed are the ones who will change their families, the community, and the country at large.
