Sermon Title: The Anointing of the Holy Spirit

The Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

This is how you can tell the works of the devil: oppression.

Isaiah 10:27 It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

Some yokes will be destroyed this morning.

What do we mean by the anointing?
- the anointing is divine power that is given to someone for that particular person to do a specific job. Because of this anointing, they are usually separated. People begin to take note of the anointing that is on that person.

Anointing is transmissible. People are anointed that things begin to happen the moment they step in a place.

2 Kings 13:21 So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.

Take note that Elisha had died a long time ago but his anointing was still in his bones. The anointing is transmissible. When you rub shoulders with anointed people, you will begin to do certain things. Tha anointing!

The Acts 19:11-12
11 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,
12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

This is what happens where there is anointing. There are certain things that cannot happen unless there is anointing. In the book of Acts chapter 5:15, we see that even the shadow of Peter healed the sick. There is power in the church. People are not supposed to leave this place the same. Anointing!

Some things can never happen unless there is an anointing. In the old testament, there were three people that received anointing: priests, prophets and kings. The ceremony of anointing was not just a mere ceremony but a way of saying that they had power to rule as a king or prophet to see what God is saying or power upon the priest to stand before people and God.

In the New Testament, we are all kings. By kings, it is not about the earthly kingdom. We have anointing as kings.

Psalms 133:1-2
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.

A yoke is something that has been oppressing you. Oppression is cruel and unjust treatment or to rule harshly or use of authority and power in an unjust way to cause discomfort, illness and sadness. The devil places different yokes on mankind.

This is why Jesus was anointed as seen from the scripture in Acts 10:38. Yokes will be destroyed today because of the anointing. What is it that has caused sadness in your life? What is it that has blocked your joy? What is it that is causing disease in your life? Haven't you not read that Jesus came to bring life abundantly?

There is an anointing to set you free. Elisha died a long time ago but as soon as the dead person touched his bones, he came to life.

Isaiah 10:27 It shall come to pass in that day

And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

This message came to the Israelites when they were under the rule of the Syrians. Every enemy that captivated Israel really treated them harshly. This was because they knew that Israel was chosen by God. Whatever Israel touches prospered.

Because we also have been chosen, the devil and his cohorts hate us. As long as you are born again, you have been chosen by God. This makes the devil hate you.

Isaiah 10:27 It shall come to pass in that day

And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

I want you to hear me: "there are some things that only anointing can do." The anointing removes you from oppression. There is no longer condemnation because the anointing has freed you from the harsh ruler.

Isaiah 61:1-2
1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,

Above are signs of oppression;
1. Poverty
2. Brokenheart
3. Captivity

When the Holy Spirit comes, you will be comforted.

I want to dwell on: "to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." You can walk like a king because you know that heaven is for you.

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord can be condensed into: " A Year of Jubilee". In the year or Jubilee, there are releasing (debts, servants with goods, properties and other things). These are things that happen in the year of the Jubilee.

When Jesus came, Jesus was saying that a year of Jubilee had come. This was freedom from diseases, debt and stagnation. Freedom! This is what Jesus came for. From the time Jesus came, we have been in the year of Jubilee (a year of the favour of the Lord).

I want you to know that the enemy knows this very well. He works overtime to frustrate this. This favour is for every born again believer.

Your heat isn't dependent on the presence of other people. I do acknowledge the effects of groups but you don't have to wait to be in a group. This is where we go wrong. We wait for church. You can still be on fire in your house or in the bus. This is where we go wrong. We wait for the church service. You were born again to start a fire wherever you are.

People may call us confused but we are so in the Lord.

There are some things that you and us are required to do that may make us look foolish.

Isaiah 54:1 “Sing, O barren,
You who have not borne!
Break forth into singing, and cry aloud,
You who have not labored with child!
For more are the children of the desolate
Than the children of the married woman,” says the Lord.

This is a barren woman that is being told to sing because she has more children than those that have. What is it that you have been looking for but have not found it? Sing and you will be surprised how the Loss will come through.

Someone's yokes will be destroyed today in Jesus' Name! As a believer, you must be careful for people not to stifle your joy. You should allow that! People should become joyous by your mere presence. Heaviness must be lifted because of the anointing. This is why Paul tells the believers to rejoice and to rejoice.

You are anointed to destroy the yokes of the enemy. For a while, I have been touched by this message: earthly values Vs heavenly values.

2 Samuel 5:12 So David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that He had exalted His kingdom for the sake of His people Israel.

From here I see heavenly values Vs earthly values. Earthly values just see individuals and their families then others last. This is why there are bad politicians out there. They want to make money first for themselves and their families then the second term is for the extended family and the third for the rest of the nation. Apparently, if the member of parliament is removed the cycle restarts.

Look at the lesson in the book of 2 Samuel. David was promoted for the sake of the people. When you begin to think about other people, doors will open for you. This has kept Africa down. How is your prayer lime when you pray? We show our selfishness by how we pray.

Our God is not selfish. He gave his only son because of the love for the world. The kingdom values look at the wellbeing of my neighbour. What kind of values are leading your life?

I want to assure you that when you begin to pursue kingdom values, you will touch many lives. It won't be all rosy. The enemy will persecute you. Don't focus on the enemy's persecution but on the Anointing of the Holy Spirit.

There are very difficult characters to manage out there. Pray for God to fill you with love. There are people out there that have never been hugged in their lives. They get shocked when you hug them. There are people that have written themselves off that they cannot be loved by God.

People only see anointing as slaying people. People are even kicking others in the name of anointing. That is not the anointing I am talking about. I am talking about the Anointing of love that allows you to eat with the outsiders. Sooner or later they will follow you.

Praying for love is one way you can be filled with the anointing.

You better know that Jesus restored us from poverty, rejection, diseases, failure and other things.

From Isaiah 61, we see that we have been set free from diseases, bitter living and debt.

Ephesians 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

Paul is trying to tell the Ephesians that the Holy Spirit does what wine does. In the village, there are people that go far to drink beer. He may be in the thicket but will not have any fear but sing through it. This is what the Holy Spirit also does in you.

You are anointed to destroy yokes in the name of Jesus!

Remember to sing as instructed in Isaiah 54

PRAYER POINTS:-
1. Thank God that you have been anointed
2. Thank God in whatever situation you are in
3. Lift your families into the hands of God
4. Break the yokes in your families

Proverbs 14:31 (NLT) Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him.

Don't write people off. Be filled with love.

1 Corinthians 2:6
However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

Take note of the word wisdom. There is earthly wisdom and heavenly wisdom. There are things that heavenly wisdom can do that earthly wisdom cannot do. I always say that wise men and women should come from the church.

1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,

When you go into politics, do not compromise. May you flow with the Holy Spirit. May the people take note that you have a different spirit. Not only in politics but in everything that you do.

1 Corinthians 2:8-10
8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

A revelation is to bring what you and I can never know using our natural facilities. This are spiritual things that were ordained for glory.

What is the purpose of this?

Daniel 2:19 Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

The King, Nebuchadnezzar had a dream. God give him all the programs from that time till the end. The King forgot the dream. The king had wise men. The king has witches. He them passes a decree that they should reveal the dream or else they will die. They then tell him that can't reveal unless he tells them the dream. I pity the people that go to witchdoctors for wisdom.

These people failed. Daniel went to ask the chief officer why he made such a decree. They further told him to give them three days. Daniel and his friends went to pray and it was then revealed to Daniel. The people around the king were learned people but they could not reveal the dream.

When you are praying for someone, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what is happening to the people. Don't just rush to rebuke demons. Brothers and sisters, we are here to showcase the power of the Holy Spirit.

Daniel 2:20-22
20 Daniel answered and said:
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
21 And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
22 He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.

1. To give you wisdom and understanding:- there are huge challenges that are beyond us. There are times we become blank when it comes. At that point, you need wisdom from above. May God grant you wisdom and understanding in Jesus' Name!

You and I can access wisdom using the revelation. Whenever you are faced with challenges that surpass your understanding, remember that there is wisdom waiting for you from heaven.

Daniel 2:27-28
27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, “The secret which the king has demanded, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king.
28 But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, were these:

If I am fooling myself and doing things in secret, sooner or later, they will reveal themselves. There is a moment when the secret will be revealed. If you are doing something in secret, please repent before God reveals it.

Watch out! We have the God that is all seeing. Remember when king Pharaoh had a dream of seven years of famine. There was no one who could interpret until Joseph appeared. He told the king to store food for the time of the famine.

The Holy Spirit is waiting to give you solutions to your problem. This is why the church is the solution to the problems in the church. Be careful whom you rub your shoulders with. Choose to be a wise person today! I am talking about the wisdom that comes from heaven to help you there and then.

We must make a difference wherever we are because of this wisdom. When you appear, may things be solved.

2. God reveals himself to make himself known:-
Isaiah 45:1-3
1 “Thus says the Lord to His anointed,
To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—
To subdue nations before him
And loose the armor of kings,
To open before him the double doors,
So that the gates will not be shut:
2 ‘I will go before you
And make the crooked places straight;
I will break in pieces the gates of bronze
And cut the bars of iron.
3 I will give you the treasures of darkness
And hidden riches of secret places,
That you may know that I, the Lord,
Who call you by your name,
Am the God of Israel.

There are hidden treasures which you can never access using your natural faculties.

Isaiah 45:4 For Jacob My servant’s sake,
And Israel My elect,
I have even called you by your name;
I have named you, though you have not known Me.

The man Cyrus was a heathen but God called him and then anointed him. He tells Cyrus that he did not know him but anointed him for the sake of his people. For your sake, God is dealing with some heathens out there. He will give them a secret treasure because of you.

For my sake, he is raising someone out there. He will give him a secret treasure. God will use heathens to help us. I don't care about the situation you are in but one thing I know is that God will raise a Cyrus for you. God will give him wealth for your sake.

3. Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God does nothing,
Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

This is how the Lord does these things. He first reveals it.

Galatians 1:11-16
11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.
14 And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,
16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood,

Paul was a very learned man. Right from my mother's womb, it was revealed that I was a child of God. We don't just come here to waste time. You are a product of revelation. God prepared you to preach the Good News out there. He revealed that you will solve problems out there. Yoh are the Solution in Jesus' Name! God is counting on you. You are a partner with God.

You were ordained for an hour such as this one. Brothers, these truths should cause us to be serious. These truths should make us know that we are a solution.

Before I came here in Avondale, I was in another area within Lusaka. There was a man who told me that there was a man who saw demonic things at his secondary school. He prayed a prayer: "How can I change this place." This is how God led him: "begin to isolate the pupils one by one." I don't know how long it took but the entire class was saved. In no time, the whole class was singing gospel songs. He was then called a pastor. This is why I stand here with the authority of heaven to declare that you are the solution.

When you see people who are going astray, don't condemn them but be assured to see that the job is there to be done. They will call you bishop because of the revelation of God.

From Acts chapter 5, you can tell that he protects you. The enemy is always looking after you. The enemy comes to disturb us. I thank God that there are people that are walking in revelation and can tell that the enemy is plotting to disturb.

How do we know we have accessed it?
1. If there is confirmation from other people.
2. Same recurring thought.

This is how God arms the church. We are well armed. The only thing that draws us back is fear. You were ordained as a servant of the most high God.

Our God reveals deep things. May God reveal deep things to you?

How do I access it?
- A tough situation. The only thing that you need to do is to be still and know that he is God.

Anytime someone reveals the revelation, he/she never remains the same. When you receive the revelation, you can never remain the same.

There was a certain part of India that went through a certain calamity. The people there had idols which they cried to for help. There was no help that came through. Afterwards, they were angry against the idols. They loaded and threw the idols into the river. At that moment is when Jesus showed up. They had so much peace. The next thing is that they began to thank Jesus for rescuing them. From that time, made sure there was no idol around. You can never receive a revelation from God and remain the same.

May God give you a revelation over your children. May God give you a revelation regarding Zambia. We need a revelation directly from God. No problem is greater than your God.

The Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

For us to be effective witnesses we need the Holy Spirit.

Exodus 31:1-4
1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
3 And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,

When you study the Bible, all the people that succeeded in serving God did so because of the Holy Spirit. The bible says, "it's not by might nor by power but by his spirit." Moses was well educated in Cairo. When he was called, he was sent into the desert for 40 years. When he came back, he went to the king (Pharaoh) whom he feared, boldly.

If you are to do the work of God, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit. God's work must be done in his ways. Look at the people in Exodus 31, they needed to be filled with the Holy Spirit to design tables and do everything. They might have been skilled or educated but they needed the Holy Spirit.

This is why Jesus told the disciples not to launch out until they were clothed with the Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit for us to destroy the works of the devil.

What does the Holy Spirit do?
1. Reveals
2. Enables
3. Anoints
4. Prays
5. Witnesses
6. Convicts
7. Empowers
8. He leads
9. Reminds us
10. Glorify the Lord Jesus Christ
11. He works in the believers
12. He creates

There is one aspect that I want to dwell on: he reveals.

I like this. Even if the enemy hides, the Holy Spirit will reveal it. May the Holy Spirit reveal your enemies in Jesus Name!

The Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Word power here has two aspects:
1. For an Ambassador:- the ambassadors that we have in countries are almost like countries within countries. Embassies are so powerful that they can protect me from getting arrested if I commit an offence in a particular country. Ambassadors represent the countries that they are coming from. Others even come with their own vehicles, beddings, detergents and food. It is a country within a country.

The bible says that we are ambassadors of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

By the virtue of being born again, we are sent as Ambassadors by Jesus. We also have power as ambassadors. The enemy knows that and he is afraid of that. The only challenge is that we don't know that we have power. You have power as you are seated there.

If you run to the Lord Jesus Christ, you are safe. He is our refuge and our protector. His eyes are always upon us. His ears are always towards us.

Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Brothers and sisters, earthly kingdoms are being shaken but our kingdom can never be shaken. Our kingdom can never be shaken at all! Hallelujah! This is the kingdom that you represent here. This is the kingdom that has sent you as an Ambassador. You are an ambassador of Christ.

I have seen people run to their embassy and the country had no say. When ambassadors come, they only have one interest and that is to promote or sell their country. They want to make sure that their commodities may come to the country they are in. This is the job of an ambassador.

Their goal is to promote the products of their nation. We also have one goal and that is to promote the kingdom of God. We only have one product to sell and that is the good news. This is the only product that we have. Once you begin to sell that product, diseases have no choice but to flee!

Jesus did not come to change a bad person to a good person. Social scientists are the ones specialised in that area. Jesus came to raise the dead person to an alive person.

We are ambassadors for one product. When you walk out of this place, begin to sell this product. When you do this, you will begin to see the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is what makes Christianity unique. We are not a religion but a living organism.

Brothers and sisters, I was a wretched sinner. I just once received the good news from an ambassador.

Our kingdom is everlasting under the king (The Lord Jesus Christ). You are an ambassador! It would be very shameful if the ambassador fails to sell the products you were sent to sell.

An ambassador is meant to sell his nation.

2. Dunamis (Dynamite): dynamite is meant to disintegrate rocks. This is the power that we have been given. There are some people that are out there who are as hard as a rock. They need special power to break those.

You have the power to destroy rocks. We are well armed ambassadors. This is what we have. This is why the Lord Jesus Christ tells us to wait until the power of the Lord descends upon us. Time has come for us to shake Avondale.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Some verses blow my mind. I don't know what you are asking. The power in us is able to do much more. You are an ambassador. When these ambassadors come, they are given all they need for them to do what they are sent to do.

The Lord has given us the Holy Spirit for us to showcase this power. As long as you are born again, God will work with you. Do not belittle yourself.

When you are at your place of work, they know who you are. You can't hide. They do see the glory of God in your life. You are an ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ. You carry power in you. This power is effectively released when you humble yourselves. Humility doesn't mean walking with finished shoes. Humility is to obey God.

When God calls you, begin to walk in the ways that he will show you. God is looking for humble people. When we begin to feel like we have reached, you have simply swapped what is written in Zechariah 4:6 and said that it is by might and power.

God is looking for humble people. If you humble yourself, you will be an asset in the kingdom of God. This is what is lacking in the church. Jesus has been exalted above all because of humility. Brothers and sisters, may we learn to humble ourselves. When he says, "pray at all times", pray. We are not moving forward because we are not praying.

God is not interested in your accent but your heart. When Prophet Samuel went to anoint David, they brought huge men. God was not interested in the outside but the inside. God is not interested in our titles but our hearts. When we humble ourselves before Godz we can shake Zambia.

Humble people attract heaven and angels. God is looking for humble people. May we be humble people.

Another way to release the power apart from humility is preparation. I can't just rise from home to go and witness. There must be very good preparation.

We are having a lot of seminars on leadership and concerts. We are having so many of these in the body of Jesus Christ. When are we having such for witnessing? This is showing how far we have drifted. When did we have a Conference for soul winning? This is indicating the drifting of the Church.

We are ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ. The time has come for us to rise and share the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We have been called as ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven.

How do I witness effectively?
- When we just got born again, we used to go with condemnation. We used to tell people that they would go to hell. We used to condemn clothing.

Steps to make you effective:
1. Observe:- observe the person you are witnessing to. There was a certain.an who loved boxing. The Christians told him that he would punch the devil very well 😂. He asked, "how can I do that." They then sat him down to witness to him. The man is now a pastor today.

2. Pray:- you may have observed that someone has been held captive by the enemy. You can begin to pray and fast to speak against the spirit. We have all been children before. We used to fight and sometimes called a brother to help us win. In the same way, we can call a brother to join in prayer.

3. Present the gospel in love:- don't condemn him and shame him for their behaviour.

This is how you and I can demonstrate the power of God. Remember the time when Jesus was eating with sinners. People questioned him but he replied by saying that he did not come for the whole.

When you are witnessing, the Holy Spirit is also with you. He is convicting the heart of the person you are witnessing to. I came to tell someone here that you are an ambassador of the kingdom.Uou represent the kingdom that can never be shaken.

Some of you are doing many things. May it be that what you are doing should be a contact for winning souls.

The Acts 4:23-31
23 And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,
25 who by the mouth of Your servant David have said:
‘Why did the nations rage,
And the people plot vain things?
26 The kings of the earth took their stand,
And the rulers were gathered together
Against the Lord and against His Christ.’
27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together
28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.
29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,
30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

The community of Israel was very oppressive then.

Micah 3:9-11
9 Now hear this,
You heads of the house of Jacob
And rulers of the house of Israel,
Who abhor justice
And pervert all equity,
10 Who build up Zion with bloodshed
And Jerusalem with iniquity:
11 Her heads judge for a bribe,
Her priests teach for pay,
And her prophets divine for money.
Yet they lean on the Lord, and say,
“Is not the Lord among us?
No harm can come upon us.”

The early church took note of this evil stuff and put their foot down not to allow it to continue. The early church was then persecuted by the leaders. There is power in prayer.

When these people were praying, quoted scripture.

Psalms 2:1-4
1 Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.

When you begin to pray according to the will of God, he will answer your prayers. They did not take their will as number 1 but God's will. This is a key to answered prayer: praying according to the will of God. When you come across certain situations, you can tell God, "may your Will be done." Prayer can change nations and communities.

When God was creating Man, he said, "let us create man in our own image that he may rule." We are meant to have dominion or subdue. God qualifies you to rule on this planet. This planet and its fullness belongs to us.

Ephesians 3:1-11 (NLT)
1 When I think of all this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you Gentiles
2 assuming, by the way, that you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you Gentiles.
3 As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me.
4 As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ.
5 God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.
6 And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.
7 By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.
8 Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. 9 I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.
10 God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
11 This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.

The will of God is extremely important. Because the saints knew the will of God wherever they went, they began with prayer. They wanted to know the will of God over the people that they were over. We need to know the will of God and once we begin to pray according to the will of God, we will shake the place.

Matthew 6:10 (NLT) May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

This is how we were taught to pray.

Matthew 8:7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

The Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’

Matthew 26:39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

There are times when we ought to deny ourselves.

Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

This is simply telling us to deny ourselves certain things. When we do this, we will then know the perfect will of God. Do not copy the world in all the things that you do. Stay away from it and give yourself to God and you will know the will of God. This is one of the things that you ought to do as a believer.

May we sacrifice our bodies and deny ourselves. What do you watch on your TV and phone? What you watch affects you.

1 Peter 2:15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men—

When things are not moving well, continue doing the right things. The devil tries to frame something so that he can sway you from the will of God. How do you respond out there when things aren't working for you? Are you doing good thi gs out there? Are you publicising your master by the good you do?

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
