Sunday Service | Seeing Beyond Your Situation | Reverend James Sichone
Scripture: Ezekiel 37
Rev. James taught that God can cause us to see a situation that looks impossible and believe that He can change it. God often asks us questions such as, “Can your situation change?” The difference between where we are and what we desire to see is the Word of God.
Key Lessons
* Many Christians are looking for someone to tell them what they want to hear instead of seeking the Word of God.
* When God looks at our situation, He does not doubt. We must learn to see our circumstances through God’s perspective.
* Many people’s prayers are crisis prayers rather than obedience prayers.
* A crisis prayer alone does not necessarily move God. Prayer must be accompanied by obedience.
* Jesus went into the wilderness to pray and fast for 40 days, but He was led by the Spirit and obeyed God’s direction.
* Sometimes, when we become too busy for God, we can actually begin falling into a crisis.
* When people come to church, they should not only come looking for what God can do for them; they should come with a heart that is ready to be filled by God and respond to His Word.
* When prophecy comes, your life should also come into alignment with God’s Word.
