Another reminder that serving God is never boring. It opens doors in ways we could never imagine.
A few months ago, I was presented with an opportunity to do some work with a certain company. The recruitment process wasn't easy. The people I dealt with were very skeptical and wanted someone with a strong, traceable work history preferably someone with years of experience or even government experience.
Like many of us, I didn't have the kind of CV they were looking for. Still, I attended the interviews and gave it my best.
Some time later, as they were driving along Great North Road, they saw me on a billboard near Emmasdale Police Station. That single moment changed everything.
What makes this story even more special is that I never planned to be on that billboard. Back in 2025, Uncle Kelvin Mwemba, popularly known as "Street President," called me and asked me to send him one of my photos on WhatsApp. At the time, we were serving together as church youth leaders in Mandevu District. He was the District Youth President, while I served as Communications Secretary. Little did either of us know that a simple request for a photo would become part of God's bigger plan and would one day play a role in opening a door for my career.
Sir, thank you for creating opportunities for others to be seen. May God continue to bless you abundantly, enlarge your territory, and reward the good you do for so many people. I pray that He continues to use you to impact even more lives.
Not long after, I received a call informing me that I had been selected for the job. I was honestly shocked, especially because I had seen many highly qualified people attend the interviews.
A week later, I had the opportunity to ask the HR manager why they had chosen me. Her answer surprised me:
"We saw you on a billboard along Great North Road, near Emmasdale Police Station, and that gave us confidence in you."
At that moment, I realized that God truly goes before us. He speaks for us, defends us, and creates opportunities in ways we could never plan ourselves.
If you're faithfully serving God and wondering when your breakthrough will come, don't give up. Keep trusting Him, remain faithful, and wait on His perfect timing. The God who opens doors that no one can shut is still working behind the scenes, even when you can't see it.
