Imagine you had a friend, and that friend was always doing things that offended you. Would you continue being friends with that person? Would you want that person to be close to you?

The same way we'd not like to be hurt or offended by those who want to have a relationship with us is the same way Jesus desires those who come to Him to keep His commandments/conditions of relationship with Him.

It's not enough to say we love Him, we must show we love Him by not hurting Him. That is why He said “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
John 14:15 NKJV

Relationship with God is tied to obedience of His word. And our loving Him is proved when we follow His Word.

Happy New Month!

The Apostle Paul employs the Colosian church saying
Colosians 3:2
“Set your minds on things above, and not things on the earth.”

He was telling the Colosian Church to have their minds set on what is eternal and is greater. If your mind is set on heavenly , what you will do will be heavenly. God has given us a creative ability and wants you to know just how important your thoughts are.
You become what you think about, you do what you set your mind on.

Set your mind on things above!

The truth without Grace is condemnation. The truth is you are imperfect. But when you Apply Grace you become perfect. The truth is you are sick, but when you apply Grace you are healed.
Grace causes us to operate at a higher level of truth which is the Word of God.

Jesus made a remarkable statement, He said
Mark 5:14
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

In a world that seems to grow darker by the day, the believer was meant to rise up and become the light to the world. The above scripture tells us that we are the light of the world. Light comes to reveal what darkness has hidden.
That's why John spoke of Jesus saying
John 1:4
“ In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

The Life that was in Jesus was the light to all men, meaning He came to show the world how they were to live, He came reveal what the darkness had hidden. The following scripture is even more exciting
John 1:5
“And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”

You are the Light of the World! Darkness cannot comprehend you.

Light shines the Brightest in the dark.

There's more to life than just living it. There's more to life than going to school and getting credentials needed for your work, there more to life than just raising a family.

Many people have gone through life never really living it the way God purposed it to be. They have settled for a downgraded and vague picture of life. But Jesus came to show us what life is about, He said
“ This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ the one whom you have sent.” John 17:3

He said eternal life is knowing God and knowing Him(Jesus), that means life was made that we may know God for all eternity. You haven't truly lived if you haven't known God.

It is why Jesus said again
“I am the way, the truth and the life...” John 14:6

He is the way to the truth of life. You want to know how to live life, know God.

“For with God nothing will be impossible.”

The word 'impossible' does not exist in Gods vocabulary. There's simply nothing He cannot do.
Nothing is beyond Him, nothing is above Him. He can do all things. Impossibilities mean limitation, and God cannot be limited.

Man was created to be just like God, in His image and likenes, possessing His character and nature. If we were meant to be just like God is, then nothing should be impossible with us too.
Jesus demonstrated this when He defiled the laws of nature, He walked on water! He brought the dead to life, He healed the sick, He multiplied fish and bread. Why? Because He was aware of a greater reality, that any man that has God in them knows no impossibility.
He said
“The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Luke 18:27

Do you have God living on the inside of you?Then all things are possible with you.
Mark 9:23
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Impossible is a word, not a Fact.
