*“God’s Power Still at Work”*
*1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV* “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
You are not alone in this season. Temptation, sin, and the pressures of the world are common to all. *Hebrews 3:8* warns us: “Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” Sin deceives the more we choose wrong, the more our conscience gets numb. *Romans 12:2* calls us to “not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” God has not left us without help. The Holy Spirit is still at work: convicting us of sin, revealing God’s truth, stirring healthy sorrow that leads to change, healing wounds, and giving power to resist and walk in godly character.
Think of the Apostle Paul. Before he met Christ he was Saul: violent, religious, and blinded by pride, persecuting believers with a hardened heart. But when God’s power broke in, the Spirit convicted him, transformed his desires, and turned a persecutor into a preacher of grace. The same power is at hand for you. Check your heart, dump what’s been holding you up, and let the Spirit work. God already knows the way out of your trial and has placed an exit in it. He is faithful to get you through.
*Prayer* Father, thank You that Your power is still at work in me. Renew my mind, soften my heart, and give me strength to walk away from temptation. Lead me by Your Spirit into truth and freedom. In Jesus’ name, *Amen.*
