RCZ NATIONAL YOUTH CHAIRPERSON WRITES ✍🏽

THE FUTURE OF RCZ YOUTH MINISTRY STARTS NOW
For the RCZ youth ministry to remain relevant, impactful, and sustainable, we must be intentional in how we plan and lead.
There is a growing need to review and amend the RCZ National Youth Policy so that it responds to the current realities facing young people today spiritually, socially, economically, and digitally. A strong and updated policy provides clear direction, accountability, unity, and purpose across all levels of the Church.
In addition, developing a 4-Year RCZ Youth Strategic Plan is critical. This plan will: • Align youth programs with the RCZ 2026–2030 Strategic Plan
• Shift youth ministry from event-based activities to impact-driven programming
• Strengthen discipleship, leadership development, skills training, innovation, and mental well-being
• Ensure continuity, sustainability, and measurable outcomes, regardless of leadership transitions
Why This Is Important
• Provides a clear vision and roadmap for youth ministry
• Enhances coordination and effectiveness at congregational, presbytery, and national levels
• Strengthens resource mobilization, partnerships, and accountability
• Gives young people a strong voice and structured pathways for growth and leadership
• Prepares the next generation to serve the Church and society faithfully
