Above Ministries Church International in this Month of JULY JUDAH SHALL GO UP FIRST AND VICTORY SHALL BE GRANTED TO US.

Theme for July: JUDAH SHALL GO UP FIRST

Main Text: Judges 1:1–2 (KJV), And Judges 20:18

> “Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them? And the Lord said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.”

As we enter the second half of the year, we are reminded through Scripture that when we face new territories, fresh battles, or uncertain futures, God’s strategy is for PRAISE to go up first. “Judah” — which means praise — was chosen by God to lead Israel into battle. This is not just history; it is a spiritual pattern.

Let July be the month where Praise leads the way!

🧱 1. THE MEANING OF JUDAH

The name “Judah” means praise.

Judah was one of the 12 tribes of Israel, but he was always prominent in leadership, breakthrough, and royal destiny (David and Jesus came from Judah).

God always honors praise as the first response in warfare, in worship, and in victory.

📌 Lesson: Before you fight with weapons or worry with emotions, let praise lead.

⚔️ 2. JUDAH GOES UP FIRST IN BATTLE

Judges 1:1–2 shows us that after the death of Joshua (a leadership vacuum), the people sought direction — and God said, “JUDAH shall go up.”

📝 Key Points:

Judah was not the strongest tribe, but obedient and chosen.

Praise sets the tone for God’s presence to go ahead (Psalm 22:3: “God inhabits the praises of His people.”)

Judah didn’t go alone — others followed. Praise inspires unity and movement.

📌 Lesson: Your breakthrough may not come from effort alone, but from inviting God through praise.

🔥 3. PRAISE AS A SPIRITUAL STRATEGY

2 Chronicles 20:21: Jehoshaphat appointed singers to go ahead of the army, and as they sang, the enemy destroyed themselves.
Joshua 6: The walls of Jericho fell after the people shouted praises.

📌 Praise shifts the atmosphere.
It confuses the enemy, releases angelic assistance, and activates faith.

⛰️ 4. JULY IS A GATEWAY — SEND JUDAH FIRST

July is the 7th month: Biblically symbolic of completion and rest.

What you allow to “go up first” this month will determine how you finish this year.

📣 Prophetic Action:

Don’t let fear go up first.

Don’t let worry go up first.

Let Judah — let praise — go up first!

🙌 5. PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

Declare these over your month:

✅ “My praise will go before my problems.”
✅ “God is fighting for me as I lift Him up.”
✅ “Every wall before me will fall as I praise.”
✅ “July shall be a month of praise-led victories!”

> Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us to send Judah first. As we step into this month of July, we commit our battles, dreams, and fears to You. Let praise rise from our hearts and homes. Go before us, fight for us, and lead us into victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8

Today, our hearts are heavy as we share that Brother Swaggart has finished his earthly race and entered into the presence of His Savior, Jesus Christ. Today was the day he has sung about for decades. He met his beloved Savior and entered the portals of glory. At the same time, we rejoice knowing that we will see him again one day.

For over seven decades, Brother Swaggart poured out his life preaching the gospel, singing songs of the faith, and pointing millions to the saving power of Jesus Christ and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. His voice echoed through nations, his music softened hearts, and his message never changed: Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

He was not just a preacher—he was a worshiper, a warrior, and a witness to the grace and mercy of God. He was a man whose faith was steadfast and always entered whatever door the Lord opened. And the Lord honored that faith.

Please continue to lift up Sister Frances, Donnie, Debbie, Gabriel, Jill, Jennifer, Clif, Matt, Joanna, Sam, Ryder, Abby, Lola, Harper, Navy, Harrison, Caroline and Mackenzie in your prayers.
